For those clubs who decided not to bother with the second round of the competition, when do they find out fixtures for 1st September?

Suppose it will depend on what happens with the League Cup draw, or the Qualifying Cup on Saturday, as they're also listed for the 1st.

Although for Blackburn - if you beat Tweedmouth on Saturday you will play a LL team, but since the LL has league fixtures listed that will likely be played on 13th October. So it would then depend on the League Cup draw - if you get drawn to play Dunbar, Tynecastle (if they lose in the Scottish Cup PR1), or Edinburgh United (if they lose their replayed game against IHS). Failing that there is a still be to arranged fixture against Ormiston (who also don't have a game) which you could play on the 1st!

Aye Ormiston at home was my thought given it's not yet scheduled.

  • 2 weeks later...

R2 up on Saturday, with Edinburgh Utd v Inverkeithing hoping for the breaks this time (Haddington await the winner), and the remaining 14 eyeing-up a QF place and 3 ties from Scottish Cup 2019-20.

In one of those quirky facts we're often seeing just now - Peebles are the only of last year's entrant still left (and 1 of 2 non-debutants alongside Easthouses).

First Round
Edinburgh Utd v Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts

Second Round
Dalkeith Thistle v Musselburgh Athletic
Crossgates Primrose v Bo'ness United
Tranent v Easthouses Lily
Penicuik Athletic v Hill of Beath Hawthorn
Jeanfield Swifts v Broxburn Athletic
Peebles Rovers v Dunipace
Camelon v Sauchie

And that is the crucial difference.  The SJFA are run by numpties, one in particular.

I'm assuming it will be early next week as the next round is on the 22nd September.
