What's the format of all the cups, are they decided over 1game,or replays ??

Pretty sure there are no replays in any of the cups (except the Scottish Cup), as you can see aet and penalties in previous years results.

I have a lot more confidence in the EoSL administering the rules correctly in these situations...…...

All the cups are single-legged without replays, with the obvious exception of the Scottish Cup which has replays (except for SFs & Final).

Replays in EOS League Cup were abolished about 1996; in EOSFA cups in 2002; there were replays in the old South Qualifying Cup, but not the South Challenge Cup that succeeded in 2007.

When it comes to extra-time there is a singe exception in that East of Scotland Cup ties go straight to penalties. (It's contested by Berwick, Edinburgh City and the 2 "Football Nation" EOSQC finalists). This is apparently since it's often held-over to the following season and has sometimes been played as a pre-season mini-tournament on Saturday & Sunday.

Play one half of ET then take penalties in the half-gloom, isn't it 8)?

Btw must be said that there was an exceedingly odd episode (in this very cup as it happens) back in 2013-14... when an adamant ref took a Gretna v Stirling Uni tie in an early round straight to penalties. Gretna won, but the tie had to be played again of course, and Stirling Uni won the restaged match, amidst a simultaneously bitter and intriguing suspension eligibility dispute. Never heard what became of original "rogue" ref.

Many years ago when I first saw this competition while reading the Scottlish Non League review, I always used to think it was named after one of the Wembley Wizards.

And that is the crucial difference.  The SJFA are run by numpties, one in particular.

Sandy Jack was apparently the long-standing EOS secretary a few decades ago - his sons still present the trophy at every final. I think the League Cup trophy is also a memorial cup, presented by Civil Service Strollers, it's the same as their new ground name (either Christie/Gillies). There was a Tom Dodds Cup named after an earlier EOS secretary contested as a League Cup briefly in the 1960s then as a 6-aside tournie and finally a fair play trophy. Of course the King Cup is not a 'leader among cups' but was presented in Victorian times by Percival King sports outfitters.

Hardly the surprise of the century - for obvious reasons it's always played on the same weekends as the Scottish Cup - but confirmation of this season's dates from EOSL fixture list (p6):

http://www.eosfl.com/downloads/eosfl/The-East-of-Scotland-Football-League-Season-2018-19-Fixture-List.pdf

First Round          Saturday 11th August 2018
Second Round     Saturday 1st September 2018
Third Round         Saturday 22nd September 2018
Semi-Finals           Saturday 20th October 2018
FINAL                     Sunday 25th November 2018

Winner progresses to the South & East of Scotland Cup-Winners' Shield in the spring for a place in the Scottish Cup.

Bump.

Underway this weekend as clubs eye a place in next season's Scottish Cup plus silverware.

Edinburgh Utd v Inverkeithing is at Leith (i.e. Peffermill) as overrunning works at Paties Road.

Correct. Only the Scottish Cup goes to replays.

Pretty sure I saw/heard that 4th subs are allowed in extra-time in the cups this season after being tested higher up, but don't quote me on that!
