Being drawn live on STV2 this evening between 5pm & 6pm.

Assuming that East Stirlingshire have not joined there will by my calculations be 49 clubs... 11 from the Lowland League + all 38 from the EOSL.

Shire elected not to take part in this season's cup

With Tweedmouth playing at Shielfield Park, what happens if Berwick are at home on 18th?

Sometimes ties are moved on the Friday or Sunday (with Tweedmouth it'd be Sunday).

Sometimes ties are deferred to an adjacent weekend - e.g. see the back page of this season's fixture-list marked Contingencies for cup-ties involving clubs which groundshare:

Depends on the cup.

Tweedmouth make way obviously.

Of the 5 missing LL teams in the draw, Dalbeattie Star, Gretna FC, Edusport Academy aka Glasgow United and Shire I understand but which association are Cumbernauld Colts a member of? Does a club now even have to be a member of an association any more ?

Don't think you have to be in an association these days most of them fell by the wayside in recent times with only the EOSFA and the Fife FA keeping their cups going.

Gretna are in the draw: they and EK are EOSFA members.

Dalbeattie and Edusport are Southern Counties FA members and play in the equivalent Southern Counties Cup which is mostly held on the same dates (it starts a bit later in the season and finishes a bit later).

BSCG, Cumbernauld and East Stirlingshire are members of no local FA and in that respect join a few other clubs e.g. Livingston. In all 3 cases it was put down to ground rentals -  but with 'Shire moving to Falkirk on presumably more favourable terms you wondered if they might plump for it now.

Once upon a time everyone had to be in 1 county FA and 1 only but it's "open" now hence Burntisland + Kelty also playing in the Fife Cup.

Not being familiar with the East of Scotland Qualifying Cup, a couple of questions. This is to qualify for the City Cup? We're Hibs and Hearts not a part of this at one time?

These days the point seems to be to qualify to play Berwick Rangers or Edinburgh City in a semi final. What would happen if, in the next couple of seasons, Berwick and Edinburgh City were relegated to the Lowland League and replaced, for instance by Shire and Cove Rangers, I. E. non members of the EOSFA?

Who would clubs qualify to play in the City Cup?
