FairWeatherFan
Conference C Heriot-Watt University 1-2 Jeanfield Swifts Preston Athletic 0-0 Camelon Juniors Preston will probably be the happiest from tonight's results. Camelon had a goal flagged off for offside and a goal line clearance in the first half, but then had 2 sendings off in the second half. It could prove a precious point for Preston headining into their last 2 games of the season against 5th place rivals St Andrews and Blackburn.
patriot1
That's a huge point for Preston. One win in their last two games could well be enough.

If Preston and Linlithgow both win on Saturday it rules both St Andrews and Blackburn out of Top 5 contention. All Preston would have to worry about is Heriot-Watt winning their last 3 games.
HibeeJibee
Preston will be pleased with that, as it gives them that 1pt buffer they were lacking... You might well have thought dropping 10pts against Craigroyston and Stirling University EOS could have proven fatal to top 5 ambitions - but tonight's point together with holding St Andrews on the opening day and beating Blackburn the following week have put them in a strong position. Should it prove the case that Linlithgow beat St Andrews and Blackburn they could virtually secure 5th with one win or two draws against those pursuers, and as noted the stars could even align this weekend. Heriot-Watt had 2 free hits and that's the first gone. They will now be looking to dispatch Inverkeithing and Edinburgh Utd then beat Camelon at home on the last day; or even draw if no-one else exceeds 33pts and they recover some GD. Bundesliga Boy
Huge game up in St Andrews this weekend. St Andrews likely need to beat Preston to pip them to 5th place. Could go either way.

FairWeatherFan
Conference C Blackburn United v. Linlithgow Rose St Andrews United v. Preston Athletic Unversity of Stirling EoS v. Edinburgh United Blackburn v. Linlithgow and St Andrews v. Preston are two games with the most consequences for both the Conference Championship and Top 5 finishes. Edinburgh United will probably like the win to put some distance between them and bottom.
FairWeatherFan
Conference C Blackburn United 0-7 Linlithgow Rose St Andrews United 1-1 Preston Athletic Unversity of Stirling EoS 7-3 Edinburgh United Preston may well have tied up 5th place with a point against rivals St Andrews. Linlithgow get an emphatic victory over Blackburn. Not out of the Conference title race just yet.
patriot1
Disaster. St Andrews one up midway through the 2nd half when our keeper dropped a cross straight at the feet of a Preston player. It's going to be hard for Saints now.
Ginaro
Still in Blackburn's hands - the evening kick-off against Preston next weekend is basically the 5th place decider. Heriot-Watt likely to win two games as well so we could end up with three teams* on 32 points! Preston with the current GD advantage but they'd surrender that if they lost to Blackburn. *possibly four if St Andrews get something from Linlithgow Edited March 23, 2019 by Ginaro
baker2
Having seen Blackburn today!(although outplayed by linlithgow) will struggle next week fancy Preston to win that!
HibeeJibee
Massive game on the groundhop next weekend in the shape of Blackburn v Preston. Potentially season-defining. Blackburn win and a victory at Edinburgh United would very possibly see them 5th... only fail if St Andrews had beaten Ormiston + Linlithgow, and/or Heriot-Watt got something off Camelon as well as beating Inverkeithing + Edinburgh United. Preston win and they're 5th... unless Heriot-Watt won all 3 and stuck in a good few goals. Draw could also suit Preston... but still leave the door ajar. That's without even starting to consider the battle for 6th.

FairWeatherFan
Conference C Camelon 4-1 Edinburgh United (score at HT/in progress) Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts v. Heriot-Watt University Craigroyston v. Broxburn Athletic St Andrews United v. Ormiston Blackburn United v. Preston Athletic (17.15 k/o) Linlithgow Rose v. Jeanfield Swifts (20.00 k/o) Camelon look to have 3pts in the bag due to their early kick off. That could see them rise to 3rd place by the end of the day as Jeanfield face the tough test of an away game to Linlithgow under the lights. Blackburn v Preston could well be decisive in the hunt for the last automatic EoS Premier spot. If Preston get a result it could tie up the spot for them. While those two battle it out, St Andrews and Heriot-Watt will be hoping to sneak up on Preston's position.
