Seems astronomical, and thoroughly discouraging to teams looking to apply. I still can't see what Civil Service Strollers have in place that Broxburn don't (granted I don't have an inside knowledge) Suppose it pays for the SFA process of all the paperwork, auditing a club's ground, and putting the application to the licensing committee. Clubs shouldn't be applying unless they know they are close to meeting all the criteria, and at least once a licence is awarded then competing in the Scottish Cup gets clubs a minimum of £3k each year. If you are unfamiliar with the process and criteria they are laid out in the licensing manual: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/media/4676/scottish-fa-club-licensing-manual-2019.pdf

Thems the breaks though, we shouldn't have needed to rely on refereeing decisons. Burnie man, sorry to piss on your parade here. I was at both games : Jeanfield played wae 10 men for a long time, it was a game they would have won with 11. Jeanfield had better players Heriot watt battered Blackburn on the day and were streets ahead, the penalty had no bearing, if Heriot watt took their chances, it could have been a bigger score line. The football they played on the day is one of the best I have witnessed for a long time. I still think Preston will finish 5th!
Burnie_man
You weren't at both games as the above clearly shows. Edited February 8, 2019 by Burnie_man
Brainwaves
I was my friend. Jeanfield game was a good game and I thought Blackburn matched them but they did have more. The penalty was never a pen. Heriot watt I expected Blackburn to run over the tax dodgers. If you are being honest with yourself, very lucky to leave wae a point.

Burnie_man
It was a penalty which should never have been retaken and we would have won the game. HWU the better team without actually making many clear cut chances and indeed, we scored again near the end in a very tight offside call. Draw probably fair in the end but we should have had the 3 points, same as Jeanfield.

GordonS
It's really perfectly set up. How often do you get two-thirds of the way into a season and three teams have the 'title' in their own hands? Jeanfield have the toughest run-in, but the most opportunity to topple their direct opponents. Broxburn have the least difficult run-in, but little chance of making up the gap if they lose their crunch match against Jeanfield. Rose are between the two, and while they're the best against the less capable teams, they have shipped goals this season to better opposition. Honestly, I think it's far too close to pick anything between the three.

We have the best goal difference and don't see either Jeanfield or Broxburn closing that particular gap.

Yup, if it's the Linlithgow that brushed Broxburn aside at home, Rose will win every match between now and the play-offs. If it's the Linlithgow that blew a 3-2 lead in the last 10 minutes at Broxburn, we're in trouble. I kind of think we'll do it but I'm fearful of wishful thinking.
