superbigal
The goalkeeper for The Scotland futsal team plays amateur in Perth. That's how seriously decent players take it.Seems to be a perth team mainly.Probably just a free swally on tour.

Our record against better opposition has not been at all good this season, because our defence is not good enough for this level. Against anyone weaker it hasn't mattered, they've generally been overwhelmed by a creative and energetic midfield and even when they do get forward they've lacked the skill and pace to do much harm. But against teams who can live with that, we cough up no end of opportunities. Thom is a good footballer with decent feet and reasonable pace, but he just does not have a feel for the centre half position and where he needs to be in relation to his partner. It's not working back there, and on top of that, the keeper has occasional calamities. I haven't seen Jeanfield this season but if they're good enough to have that many points, they're presumably good enough to get something off Rose. If they do, I think Broxburn win it. It's gonna be exciting.
HibeeJibee
Hadn't realised that, except Jeanfield week on Saturday, Broxburn's only opposition outside the "bottom place" sides are home-n-away v St Andrews. Potentially defining matches for them.

HibeeJibee
Tbf - if you won your remaining games including Preston, but lost v Linlithgow... you'd have 32pts. Preston lose v yourselves, Camelon + Jeanfield, and only beat either Heriot-Watt Uni or St Andrews (not both)... 30pts or 31pts. Heriot-Watt Uni lose v Camelon + Jeanfield, win the rest except lose one (e.g. Preston)... 32pts. St Andrews lose v Broxburn, Jeanfield and Linlithgow, win the rest... 30pts. Slim chance - better if you held/beat Linlithgow. It's not outlandish to think the "top 4" may win most or all of their games against the lower sides... to date only Jeanfield has so dropped points? Where you are probably struggling is the need, in that scenario, for Preston and Heriot-Watt to drop points in one of their other games: if they win them all, even you winning 3 of 4 isn't enough. Burnie_man
Would have been even better if the ref hadn't given a 94th minute non-penalty at Jeanfield, and ordered a penalty retake at HWU for no reason. Thems the breaks though, we shouldn't have needed to rely on refereeing decisons.

Burnie_man
Applying is different from complying. Probably had an audit to highlight what needed doing and now they need to fundraise. Tweet was yesterday.

Steven W
What do Broxburn need to do their ground to get a licence that amounts to £10k?? And more over, having been to SFA licensed Christie Gilles park a year or so ago (a very pleasant visit too i might add), what does it have that Albyn Park doesn't? Unless i'm not getting a proper understanding of 'SFA licensed'......(entirely possible!)

Albyn desperately needs the pitch relaid, but I would imagine BUSC would be in charge of this as the charity that owns the park?

They have cover, floodlights (don't know the lux but presumably they are ok for entry), and plenty of rooms in their building going by the planning application. Maybe disabled facilities need to be upgraded?

But they need it done now to get licensed this season.

I still can't see what Civil Service Strollers have in place that Broxburn don't (granted I don't have an inside knowledge)
