South Challenge Cup 2018-19

You'd suspect Sauchie and Newtongrange/Hill of Beath are happy with that draw given they were about the lowest sides likely to feature in QFs (unless Coldstream spring a massive surprise at Penicuik or LTHV spring a considerable one at home to Camelon).

Interesting that if Camelon make it through they play University of Stirling... these 2 clubs are the only ones still in all cups at this stage of the season (though both have EOS Qualifying Cup ties in the intervening period).

Note also EK, Newtongrange, Penicuik and Bonnyrigg are the only clubs still in all the cups bar 1.

Nipped out for it Hibee. Comfortable win for the Fifers.

David slays Goliath...

In an astounding match in Midlothian this afternoon: Coldstream took the lead, then Penicuik led 2-1 at HT, then it was 2-2, then 3-2 to Penicuik, then Coldstream equalised with the last play of the game, then Penicuik led 4-3 right after HT in ET, then Coldstream equalised with 5mins left in ET and won 5-4 on penalties.

QFs on Saturday 2nd March now:

Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic v East Stirlingshire
Coldstream v East Kilbride
Sauchie v Hill of Beath Hawthorn
University of Stirling v LTHV/Camelon
