Your Club's Manager, As A Player

I see the list down to 6th as pretty interchangeable tbh. The European trophy that was won under Clarke's tenure at Chelsea was the UEFA Cup Winners Cup which had about the same prestige as the Intertoto Cup.

I can see why you would post a shite list to wind up St. Johnstone fans, but this is just fucking moronic.

It's a massive improvement on the list ludo jokingly put up, but Levein would be light years ahead of canning. Even when Canning was at his peak and Levein was a 45 year old manager, Levein would have been a better player.

I think most folk have got Clarke too high in their lists. Playing regularly for Chelsea in the 80s/90s does not mean the same as it does in the 00s/10s. There's a reason why he only got six caps for Scotland, and it wasn't injuries (unlike Levein). He was a very solid pro, but a bit short of true international class.

Craig Levein is the only one on the list who has never won anything as a player or manager if that helps.

Just pishy local derbies.

Had he not been injured he could have become a Scotland great.
