Definitely room for two or three new blood. But aside from Ovy, Sloan and Coco I wouldn't say any of them are veterans and you can also look at it another way.

Coyne, Coco, MacLennans, Jamie and Gary Thom have all been in our first team for the best part of a decade so we're given the chance and are still in the team with little need to replace any of them. All top servants to the club.

I agree, I find it hard to believe that at any point in the past 5 years we could have realistically upgraded on those players.

Younger players we've brought in have, for various reasons, generally not made the grade. Nothing to do with age, just that we're not finding young players better than the older guys, who we're lucky to have. They came into a very successful team and they carry the DNA of Junior Cup winning teams of previous years.

Of course, next season will be different when we bring De Ligt to the Microsoft Prestonfield Arena...

Broxburn to win 1-0 today, both sets of fans miserable at Albyn Park.

And Linlithgow to beat Penicuik, both sets of fans celebrating.

Could be a strange day. Hope the internet reception in Penicuik is good!

Got to say, feeling the pain of missing the play-offs today. We could have been at Prestonfield this afternoon in a league decider against Bonnyrigg.

Nah, you would have been pumped by Penicuik and already out of it.....

Come to think of it, we blew a 3-2 lead at Broxburn that would have put us 6 points ahead, lost 4-3; lost a lead at home to Ormiston to draw; and lost a lead at Jeanfield on the last day when we could theoretically still have won the conference. Of the four league games we failed to win, we lead in three.

Ended 3-3 and on to penalties. Given the result at Broxburn today Lithgae should do the honourable thing and miss their penalties .

I'd be fine with that tbh. We're not winning this cup so we might as well get the season finished.

Great highlights - couldn't make Saturday so really appreciate the chance to catch the highlights.

P.S not sure your funding link is working?

The reward for beating Musselburgh on Saturday would be a SF at home against Bonnyrigg or Bo'ness. Yes please.

Out of interest - when was there last a season without a Linlithgow-Bo'ness derby?

It could only happen in the cups this season and the chances narrowed with Linlithgow finishing bottom of their EOSQL section, getting pasted at home to Dunbar in their first EOS Qualifying Cup tie and Bo'ness exiting the South Challenge Cup at EK in September. This cup has been the "last chance" since then.

Tall order for both to win their QFs on Saturday but eminently possible.

Not sure on the exact dates - But Bo'ness often played in a lower division to ourselves for a good number of years - so not really that unusual.  Although technically there is a Derby Match tomorrow  at Prestonfield with the Linlithgow Over 35's versus Bo'ness Over 35's in Aid of our respective Gala Days.

Linlithgow won't be looking past Saturday's game just yet, Musselburgh have caused us a few upsets in recent times.
