Bo'ness United 2018/19

Tranent opening goal was all too typical. Hunter takes an extra touch putting himself under pressure. Poor pass and we lose the ball and there's a huge gap in the defence. Ball played into space and goalie Murphy decides to come out but he was never getting close....1-0.

At the other end our conversion rate seems like 1 goal for every 20 chances. We have forwards but we don't have a striker.

Across the whole team we have plenty of strength but very little speed. By the time we get the ball up he park we have 8 or 9 opponents behind the ball.

Too slow, too predictable and too wasteful.

Have to agree with DD. Too many  chances wasted. Tranent just packed their box and Boness struggled to break them down, especially 2nd half. Snowden and "kano" seemed to be having words when Boness equalised. This may have been how their penalty materialised. Bit of afters?!

Ended 2-1. Snowdon missed a penalty. We had lots of shots but they came to nothing.. We had 30+ corners and made nothing of them. MOTM the Tranent goalie.

Referee was honking for both sides. Probably about 14 booked in a game without a bad tackle. At 1-1 the linesman decided to award a penalty to Tranent and book Snowdon. From what I saw Snowdon had broken up an attack near the byline and cleared the ball out the box for a throw in and then he bumped into the Tranent player off the pitch and he fell over.

I was standing down that end. Absolute joke of a decision. The ball had been fairly won, cleared for a throw. The contact between Snowden and the Tranent boy was purely both players momentum and was over the bye-line.

The better team today but Tranent took their chances and we didn’t. Feel we’d have won that game if Kerrigan had set the side up better. Brian Morgan should be playing through the middle every week. Wasted out wide today. When he did drift central he went by players with ease. Would’ve liked to have seen Nicky Prentice and Josh McDonald on for Donnelly and Comrie and a lot earlier than the sub which was made. Making a like-for-like substitution when Shirra came on was pointless.

We took 6 of Tranent and accept we are not the greatest this season. Yet you are bitching about Bradley.

By your logic surely Kerrigan must go.

How long has Bradley been at the rose this time ?  and there still shite  says it all

Came away wondering how did we lose that?  Quickly remembered we have little threat up front, with only Marty weighing in with goals.

Can't remember ever having so many corners in one game but the box was always packed tight and numerous shots were blocked.

Yet another penalty miss costing us dear.  Surely we can rely on one of them!

The ref was totally out of his depth today, flashing cards everywhere but still managed to be inconsistent in that.  The real ref today was Ian Black, who was at the ref's side constantly, yapping at him to tell him what to do.

Once again, the best part of the trip were the steak & haggis bridies.  Definitely up there with the Haddington offerings this season.

Well i will disagree with that because i thought that Gemmill believes that he should be the ref.#

Well done to Bo'ness for wearing black arm bands in memory of Ann Marie (McDaid) Cruikshanks.

A life taken to soon.
Echo that. Sad news but great gesture. Great family and good supporters. Well done bo'ness.
