Good win albeit with a depleted squad. Will and Nicky P on holiday Iain Syme at a wedding plus Devon suspended. A surprise inclusion was Nicky Walker plus “Dougie” was back.
We struggled a bit but weathered the storm and got our noses in front with Stevenson finishing off a good cross from Morgan.
The Ref then took a hand in the game with some strange decisions, he booked Gemmell for an over the top tackle which could have been a red. Then sent him off a few minutes later after he was conned by a dive from a Musselburgh player.
Musselburgh had the ball in the net but the lino flagged for offside.
The ten men carved a few chances but poor control let them down.
Well done to the squad but Max and his management team deserve a big thank you from the Fans for turning round our season.

Absolutely. BU like a completely new side since Max came in. With the run and form we’ve been in recently I wish the season could roll over into next without a summer break.

That's what you call a true BU. Well done Michael.

Flight back from Munich will make interesting travel expenses this week b.ut fair play to Gemmell for making the game - disappointing to be sent off for an invisible tackle though - and well done to the players and management for a wonderful run and deserved cup win

To Max, the coaches and of course all the players, a big THANK YOU for delivering on the day.  All that effort at Nitten & Tranent wasn't wasted and to have got to end of both the semi and the Final after suffering dubious red cards says a lot about the character of this team.

So chuffed that Dougie got to lift a trophy in his testimonial year and the fact it was a local lad who scored the winning goal makes it all the sweeter!

It depends I suppose on whether or not Bonnyrigg treat it like a bounce game.

That remark has come back to bite them on the bum    big style    so they are out for revenge and they attended Peniciuk on Sunday in  numbers.   They also have a big Proseco night to look forward to after the game.

Michael Gemmell ruled out by suspension tomorrow. Second yellow was ridiculously soft but in fairness his first yellow could have been a red.

Hopefully Max has Dougie back in central midfield for the graft and the impressive Comrie for the craft.

Also noticed that Mackenzie has a suspension coming but not until 26 May.

A wee change in the weather overnight and most of tomorrow. Potential for a slick, quick surface and an even more fasterer and furiouser Big Rose v BU game than usual, if such a thing is possible!

Other than Gemmell, are there any other absentees tomorrow?
