It is the same players. Tactics, coaching and motivation plus some luck along the way
boheesian
Max’s man management got the players going and how well they responded. We do like to make it hard for ourselves but our fitness and work ethic has got us through quite a few games. So that’s 15 wins on the bounce for him, not a bad start.
Deanburn Dave
Assumption re same players correct. We lost at Tranent 5-0 with 9 of tonights players in the side. Gemmell and Keast played tonight instead of Donnelly and Stevenson. IMO that change of personnel makes us no better and no worse. What is different is the fitness levels and the willingness to graft.

Agreed response and attitude coming back from 2-1 and 3-2 down and winning was excellent and great entertainment
8MileBU
Absolutely brilliant result. Love beating Tranent!
Jambo'ness
You can stick your Champions League, that was a football match. Tranent were out of the traps fast but that came back to bite them as the Duracell number 9 ran out of puff in the 2nd half. We were certainly assisted by their 'keeper, who came into the 'dodgy' category but he did have a couple of amazing stops too. The difference pre and post Max? We actually have a voice on the sidelines urging players on, getting them in right positions. Kegs was a nice guy but a showroom dummy. Also the players' fitness levels have increased greatly. Oh! and now we have someone with a tactical head on his shoulders.
Sheep77
That Goalkeeper last night for the 2nd and 3rd goals you couldn’t make that up
Jambo'ness
Huge kudos go to the lads for fighting back and in the end winning convincingly. Great game management for the final 15 minutes. Certainly silenced the home support.

Speaking to Michael Gemmell’s father and he was saying that Michael feels that his fitness levels have improved since the new management team joined. Plus the squad all seem to be working well together and that was more than evident last night. The one downside was a bunch of local youths who did nothing but shout abuse at anybody in a United strip and of course their previous management team. Another wee point was the person on the gate when a friend with us who is on the committee presented his EOSL card was asked how many are you with cards. Well each club get 10 but the card does not have a club name on them, which means any Committee men from other Clubs can turn up and get in for free or is that what happen. Incidentally the guys attitude did nothing to foster good relation sbetween clubs.
Jambo'ness
They have a cheek. We've put money into their coffers 4 times this season, probably all in their top half dozen gates, although not so many the other night from either side which can be explained by kick-off time in midweek and maybe previous antics.
Deanburn Dave
Hopefully the Bonnyrigg players go out tonight and celebrate their title win with a ridiculously heavy mix of cocaine and hookers Just hoping for anything that will give the BU's an advantage on Monday.

No advantage there. That's the norm for a Saturday night in Bonnyrigg
Deanburn Dave
Looking forward to the game on Monday evening. Going to feel about 6C at KO so wrap up and get along to cheer on the boys. Mon the BU's !!!
Jambo'ness
Has the makings of a cracker tonight. Who needs the chase for the Premiership when you've got this! Hopefully a few injury niggles will have benefitted from a wee rest and that we have a full bench available too.
Deanburn Dave
Bonnyrigg will be on a high after the game on Saturday but the BU's are on a nice wee run of results. Sure Max will have the boys fired up.Mon the BU's !!!
Deanburn Dave
It's nice and sunny just now BUT there's a 60% chance of a shower of rain before KO . Certainly going to cloud up later. Very little wind but the temperature will only be 6C. Suggest you wrap up.

Deanburn Dave
Referee tonight is Colin Whyte. Googled him and he loves a long lecture and he stopped a Spartans game because there was a jobby on the pitch.
Deanburn Dave
Boness 0 Bonnyrigg 0 at halftime. Feels like a meaningless bounce game .
