Reading the statement was the agreement to allow this to happen the outcome from the meeting of BU club members a few months back? 
Potential to split their travelling support. With a Bo'ness Utd team home every week.

The other obvious strength is the new team know how to generate money. They won't be backwards.

Tbf, not that long ago Spartans had a Junior side, and a few LL/EOSL clubs have Amateur outfits not U20s.

It sometimes works well to run a reserve team in the other grades.
