Aye better team won the game in a canter and ur front 3 were fantastic , we needed to get to half time 1-0 down and the fluke right on half time killed the game

Imagine if we could have fielded our strongest team tonight who knows what the score would have been. ^_^^_^^_^.  Boy was unlucky with the og.

Good game last night, thought the atmosphere was brilliant start to finish.

Your boys strolled the game in parts, thought darvel started well first 10 minutes. Then you took over. That number 7 of yours looks a cracking player, good luck on wed

Looking forward to another cup final tomorrow night. Three halves of our two games with Beith this season have been close with the only exception being the second half at Bellsdale, when they took us apart up the slope. Those games were both early in the season and we carry more of a goal threat now as we did then so hopefully we can cause them problems as it will be tough to keep a clean sheet.

Skipper Allan Jenkins with goalscorers Calum Watt and Danny Mitchell celebrate the Ford's first ever West of Scotland Cup success. It was a good final played in trying conditions. Hurlford were the better side in the first half and Beith dominated the second. Hurlford keeper saved three penalties in the shoot out and was named the man of the match by the dignatories present.wos-winners-2018.jpg

Hurlford showed character to come through the disappointment of Rugby Park and win this the hard way by beating the 2 best teams in Scotland in the semi and final in the space of 72 hours.

People can cite fatigue of Talbot and Beith as a reason but Hurlford have been playing loads of games too. well deserved.

Cheers Shanner. Last night was indeed Ford"s 46th competitive match of the season. Two more than Beith, I think, however our programme of 7 games in 18 days wasn't quite as intense as theirs.

It wasn’t u never played us ha

A fair result and a fair distribution of the 3 main trophies this season. Shows how tough the west league is nowadays. Good to see
Yes. If Pollok win this evening then the top four in the Premier plus Hurlford and Clydebank will all have won silverware this season. It's been a great season IMHO.

Very much agree. Despite the background rumpus over this grade's future and  the fixtures chaos in the wake of long drawn out dodgy weather, the on-field drama over the last few months has been remarkable. I think of the late turnarounds at the business end of the Scottish (Ford v Bo'ness, Lochee v Talbot and of course the Final), the last day shenanigans in the league and then the conclusion to the WOS.  Congratulations to Hurlford on their triumph here, was gutted for them the way they lost the big Final, glad they saw this one through (just) and ended on a high. From a selfish point of view it has been the season of my life due to Wishy's cup exploits (I'm sure I'll never see the likes again) but for all the moaning about standards slipping etc, you couldn't really have scripted much more drama and great IMO not to see one club winning all as per the seniors.  Think we could all do with a bit of respite now though, will try to enjoy the summer (a lot easier after England exit yon tournament in Russia) and hope we all come back refreshed for whatever lies ahead next season.
