Seems to be little intrest in here with regards to the junior revolution/evolution currently taken place. As it seems that the lowland is now the dream destination for so many of the doubters I thought there would be more descusion from within. Do people see the lowland league staying in its current format for years to come or will changes need to happen, the comment I've seen the most of is should there be a bigger turn around in promotion and relegation (is there a percentage vote req from member clubs to instigate change) from a ww  view the chance of Midlothian derby games will be high on the plus side in seasons to come.....

good post magoo, problem is that outside of management, friends and family of the leading LL clubs, there isn't anybody out there to discuss your points. Former Junior clubs will own that league in the next couple of decades.

Na former junior clubs will be bypassing the LL and in the SPFL in the next couple of decades. That's the beauty of these clubs making the move, the opportunity is there for all to find their level. The sky's the limit as they say.

Ftfy ;)

Better than that, such is their power they will be admitted straight into the Champions League group stages.

Junior clubs can already qualify for the Champions League. Just have to hold your team together for four years.

Win the Junior Cup year one. Scottish Cup year two, Europa League year three, Champions League year four.

I doubt there will be any changes to the LL for the next decade or so.   Once the WoSFL is established and all of the top clubs are Licenced, same in the EoSFL, then there might be a case for a LL (West) and LL (East) which is the natural evolution but that would need the buy in of the SPFL.  All a long way off IMO.

Yes, for sure. However, were all three Leagues of at least comparable strength/licensing status to the current tier5 set up, then they'd probably be much more palatable to the SPFL. The situation whereby we have enough teams to be able to do that shouldn't be that far away, maybe a mere handful of years.

One potential fly in the ointment, however, could be the 11-31 disparity between HFL/LFL regional qualified SPFL teams... it might be envisaged that there'd eventually be 'natural drainage' of HFL promotions swapping with LFL qualified SPFL teams. The HFL could become rapidly drained of competitive teams. Of course, probability would say that only one excess HFL team would be so promoted per 4-year cycle, however, pure probability doesn't account at all for the average team strengths between the regions, or the predominance of random factors orchestrating matters in series' of one-off knockout matches.
