Stag Do dares/challenges

Recommended Posts

Most of my friends did not attend the University of Life and so haven't spent their twenties firing out sprogs and arranging guilt marriages as a result.

I’m sure you will get on fine, just try not to be yourself.

Go back to making up teabagging incidents to make yourself seem all too briefly relevant champ.

Old school mates 20
Old uni mates same 20
Old work mates 0
Current work mates 0
Guys from your football team same 20
Brides male relatives 0
Your own male relatives 0

The lovely thing about going to a decent school is that there is no need to make any more mates beyond the age of 16. They are your uni mates and your football team mates.

The idea of having mates from work never mind going on a stag with them sounds fucking dreadful.

I was the same mentality for a few years after high school but in your 30’s you should be growing out of that mindset IMO. That said 80% of my stag do guests would have gone to same school as me.

Lots of people have work mates at their weddings tbf, I was at a wedding in May and I had never met the bride and there were only 50 guests and I got an invite because my gf works with the bride. Loads of their work were there which I find pretty sad if I’m honest but everyone’s different.

If anything you need less mates as you get older. Folk have families and want to do their own thing.

10 years ago i had midweek social group for snooker and smoking, weekend group for football and pints as well as the odd works thing which was fine because the jobs i was doing we were all in our 20s and had similar interests.

Nowadays with work, families and folk moving away that looks like football and pints crowd, which is down to 5 from about 10, and mabe 2 or 3 times a year getting all the old crowd together.

Baiscally my mate quota is full and availability is much less than it was.

VT's fellow staggers should be braced for the most traumatic weekend in a cabin this side of Evil Dead 2.

ICT Chris edited this post as he original referred to VT as Virgin ton and he felt bad about offending a man who is going on his first stag do at the age of 30.

Yeah you’re right enough, most of my socialising is around my family and the in laws and I only very occasionally meet up with friends and when I do it’s not for very long. Everyone’s different though, some people carry on the exact same throughout their 30’s and beyond, I just can’t be bothered as I enjoy my own time and space.

I don’t like the way it is automatically edited and I don’t like using “virgin” as an insult.

Throbber, I forget if you are married, if not you should do it and we can have a P&B stag, it would be absolutely awful but at the same time life affirmingly amazing.

I’m in agreement with your first point and I always just refer to him as VT.

I’m not married but been engaged for 2 years and been together for 10, I probably won’t have a stag do as our wedding will be properly small with only immediate family invited. I used to like hanging about with big crowds and there would have been every chance I could have had a stag with 50 people on it had I carried on the way I was going but I grew older and more and more anti social. Part of the reason I hated the teabagging stag weekend so much!

2 stag’s coming up soon.

First is in Naples. My mate who now lives in Toronto is coming over and getting married in Sorrento, so there’s around 15 of us heading through to Naples for the night. Not really sure what to expect but I’d imagine Naples will be an eye opener.

Second is in Magaluf at the end of August with 40 booked up potentially one or two more, which will be fucking horrendous. Around 10 people from the one in Naples will also be at this. That said, it’s mainly the group of boys I’ve known and hung about with since I was kid, almost 20 years ago, who’re all still really good friends. Along with some family and boys from his football team, they’re all fairly sound but a few idiots. Worst part is it’s Old firm that weekend, with the majority supporting one or the other.

No games or dares in either.
