A few seasons of your largely pointless history being spent at a higher level is obviously - and justifiably - a source of great pride for yourself and other Cowdenbeath fans, but it's not really relevant any more when you're now firmly established as Club 42. If you think Clyde have spent anywhere near £1.6m on players and staff in the last 8 years then it's clear to see why you might think this level of idiocy is forgivable. Same could be said for Clyde over their history. Punted from Glasgow as the club had no fans, having to move about club grounds in Glasgow & the move to Cumbernauld hasn't proven to be a great success for the Bully Wee. Clyde have consistently had one of the best budgets in League 2 for say 5 or 6 seasons and yet despite your club's higher professional standards have failed to achieve promotion & will do so again this season. Spending 200k + for that shit has obviously made you a bitter man.

Desperado deflection doesn't go any way to making your club's spectacular blunder explicable.

Let's not forget Clyde's inexcusable gaffe keeping a player who racially abused an opponent during a game on the books too. Those higher professional standards of the Bully Wee ! Kudos to Clyde ! Despite having a racist & a sex offender at the club they will still f**k it up again and not get promoted. That’s never happened to any club ever! But we don’t have to justify or explain anything to you on here at all so who cares what your view is. Maybe though you could show your workings for the £20k figure and then we can gauge exactly how insightful you really are?

Unless the match gets picked up by Premier again, the club will likely miss out on a five-figure broadcasting sum, unless I'm mistaken? Whether 10k or 20k, that's a fair dunt. In any case, the game's postponement isn't ideal when you're gunning for fourth place in the league and any sort of a result from this tie would be massive for the club. There wouldn't have been a better time to play it than last night.

the_bully_wee
Serious question: why did Cowdenbeath not leave the covers down until a few hours before kick-off rather than desperately try to drive a car over the unplayable area in an attempt to get the game on?

Because you lift the covers on match day once the sun and temperature rise as that helps the pitch - the sun on the pitch has a very positive impact.

Makes sense. I'd heard that the sun was splitting the sky yesterday and that cucumber water and factor 50 were the orders of the day due to the sheer amount of radiation in the village. Strange that this alone did not get the game on.

That is entirely the correct procedure - with Sun on pitch from 11 for 4/5 hours
