Seems to be a decent wee spirit about the team/ club at the moment. Long may it continue! Definitely a great wee spirit just now about the team/club and was good to see the players mucking in tonight too helping with the covers a long with Gary.

Without doubt improved a lot with full time training too. I remember his first time in a Cowden shirt as a sub in the 2-1 game at Dunfermline. He barely looked like he could run. What a turnaround. I thought Greg's first game was the 1-0 win over Raith in the Challenge Cup? Looked like he had something about him. I'm sure he scored 5 or 6 games on the bounce that season - all as a sub.

PELE
We always looked more dangerous when Greg came on, almost immediately quite often. Never understood why he didn't get to start more. He wasn't a speedy player though and took a few knocks, so that may have been a factor, as too many managers seem to rate physique and speed over talent.

Cowdenbeath fans were in the North East and ended up taking close to a thousand. That was the most manic celebrations I can remember being involved in for a Cowden goal. Place went mental and my brother who was in the home end said that he'd never seen an away end go that crazy for a goal at East End before! Fairly sure it was my birthday that day as well. Joe Cardle ruined it.

I'm fairly certain the Cowdenbeath mascot was in the away end, big blue cow going mental.

I'm fairly certain the Cowdenbeath mascot was in the away end, big blue cow going mental. Brilliant. Probably helped by the fact we scored as early and it was the first time we'd met in the league for many years. Dunfermline battered us in the 2nd half and deserved the victory - a draw would have been an excellent result for us. Good memories.
Kierkegaard
So here's the scenario tomorrow night at Central Park. It's blowing a blizzard. We're into injury time. The score is Cowdenbeath 0 Rangers 0. The desperate Rangers defenders are lumping balls into the Cowden penalty area. Morelos, a second half Rangers substitute, bursts through on goal. The Cowden supporters can hardly breathe. Morelos shoots, but Davie McGurn, who has been brilliant all evening, makes a superb save. Morelos throws himself down, screaming, with no one near him. The Cowden fans whistle for time up, urging McGurn to kick the ball down the No 7 pit - forgetting that the No 7 pit was demolished years ago --but Davie has other ideas. Noticing that Jordan Allan has started running at speed, Davie kicks the ball over the heads of the retreating Rangers players. Jordan has timed his run to perfection . He's heading straight for goal, but the Rangers keeper crudely takes him out. Penalty! The TV cameras show that the Cowdenbeath directors are sitting in the stand with their heads bowed. They are praying. Even Donald Findlay is seen to be praying fervently to God. (His Holiness Pope Francis will later pronounce this to be a miracle.) The question is this: what should the Cowden directors be praying for? Answers on a postcard.

I imagined DF would let out a tourettes style "miss it" shout and if we did miss it, he would be spotted running airplane style around the track.

Really? the win creates history, the draw just a short term boost of cash( which the win would also create but unsure how much). slot the penalty home and enjoy the moment.

Two of us should be arriving hopefully around 1ish, planning to stop off via our digs in Queensferry... but if you need a coupla pairs of hands about 1ish if you're not done by then, please give us a shout and we'll happily stay on the train and gladly help out if needs be. And keep these positive vibes/times going please!

Blue Oktober
Pitch covers need to come off at 11 a.m. tomorrow to let the pitch get some sun & let the groundsman do his stuff a great turn out yesterday from and including the evening session with he players too. Easier task to lift if you are available & can help with this very much appreciated as there are a lot of other tasks to be undertaken tomorrow .
