English Leagues Transfer Activity Summer 2018

Shaqiri's not the player he was but I expect Kloppo could get him playing a lot better again. It's an extremely small risk for Lolverpool to take and a bit of a no brainer really.

Nope but £13 million does not buy much in the current crazy market. I have been saying the same thing since Liverpool's interest was reported. They still have Solanke, Sturridge and Origi with Ings and Ojo rumoured to be leaving. Shaqiri's too inconsistent so, with a fit squad, he'll compete for place on the bench with odd start in the League and FA Cups.

He will play a lot more than that.

Shaqiri money should have been spent in the central midfield.

Why? They've spent an absolute fortune getting Keita and Fabinho.

It's not a waste. Just not worth THAT money.

That’s nonsense though. £13m is pocket change in EPL terms and given Liverpool’s lack of forward options should Salah or Mane get injured or need a rest, then Shaqiri is a brilliant signing. Also, if it doesn’t work out this next season or two, the fact he’s only 26 means Liverpool are almost guaranteed to make a profit or at least their money back should he move on again.

West Ham sign Felipe Anderson from Lazio for club record fee.

Amazed at the Dildo Brothers actually coughing up for this one to happen.

Tbf it must be easier now they get a stadium for free, pesky Upton Park sucked all their funds.

West Ham doing some decent business this summer. Obviously they brought in Pelligrini but have they got someone else bringing in guys more based on stats etc? Anderson is an excellent player at opening up a game, and wins the ball back defensively a lot.

Chelsea apparently signing Alisson for £70m.

The bizarre part of this rumour is the bit where they sell Courtois for £30m to Real.

Seems a bit pointless.

Apparently, Fekir to Liverpool is back on.

What's changed from the deal being called off last month?

I think all that stopped it happening was the medical and Liverpool’s wish to structure the payment over the course of the contract meant it wasn’t pushed through before the World Cup. Could still be tricky with the Lyon owner involved though.

Looks as though Chelsea are going to try to scoop Liverpool, are willing to pay up to 70M...

Expect so senor. As with Van Djik, Chamberlain etc need the player to want to come to Liverpool.

In the short term Liverpool would seem to be the better option given that they are in the Champions League next year, but either option would afford Allison the chance of being number 1 (given that Courtois is almost certainly leaving Chelsea).  As with a lot of things in Football it may come down to money and Uncle Roman may be more willing to shell out for massive wages than Liverpool are
