RedRob72
Sky Blues slipping up at Seaview, (pal mentioned it was a cracking game) keeps it tight. Missing our home game against St Johnstone, to head over for the LC Final Vs Linfield . Would love to stay over for the league fixture the weekend after, which could be a huge game, but it’s either or sadly!
RedRob72
We'll see how unstoppable they are next year! Although I suppose they'll just spend more money...Aye, but which small provincial club wouldn’t love a sugar daddy like wee Kenny though eh JG, It’s some story!

Jacksgranda
Irish Cup - holders safely through, that's all that matters really! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46771081 Some minnows still swimming with the big fish, Strabane Athletic, Queen's University, Larne Tech OB, Dergview, Crumlin Star. Plus Championship sides Larne, Portadown and Carrick Rangers. The only upsets were Carrick winning at Ards and Larne knocking out Newry City and the latter would hardly be classified as a major shock. Warrenpoint winning at in form Institute might be classed as a surprise. Sixth round draw - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46771630 Linfield v Crusaders catches the eye. Larne Tech OB v Strabane Athletic, Ballinamallard v Carrick and Larne v Crumlin Star ensures there will be at least 3 lower division sides in the quarter finals.

senorsoupe
Elliot Morris, the goalie for Glentoran scored from well inside his own half against Institute, probably about 70 yards out

Jacksgranda
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46850476 Linfield see off Warrenpoint Town who ended up with 10 men, Crusaders won on Friday night, and Ballymena drop 2 points against Dungannon Swifts, who got a point after going down to 10 men. Coleraine and Glenavon draw at The Coleraine Showgrounds, Cliftonville thump Ards 4-1 and Glentoran might just have saved their season with that win at The Brandywell. Linfield top 3 points clear of Ballymena who are ahead of The Crues on goal difference. Then Glenavon on 43 points, 7 behind The Crues. Coleraine 4 points behind Glenavon, and Cliftonville sixth a point behind Coleraine on 38. Bottom half: Seventh Institute 29 from 24, then Glentoran 24 from 23, Warrenpoint Town ninth 22 from 24, tenth Dungannon Swifts who keep picking up points here and there 21 from 24, then a bit of a gap to Newry City in the play off spot, 16 from 23 with Ards twelfth on 14 from 25. If Newry beat Glentoran in their game in hand it would make things more interesting at the bottom. Highlights: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46853015 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46851508 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46851356 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46851359 In The Championship Larne and Carrikc weren't playing, and with Portadown losing and Dundela getting only a draw it was a good day for the Antrim men.

Jacksgranda
Coleraine win at Ards/Bangor. 7 games unbeaten. Never doubted McAree… https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46928191
Jacksgranda
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46931433 Linfield win the 6 pointer at Seaview, 1-0, after striking early. The Blues were under a bit of pressure at the end, but held on. Crusaders were unbeaten in 7 going into this. Ballymena stayed in touch by beating Glenavon at Mourneview 2-0, first win for them there for 7 years, and Glenavon look out of it now. Barry Gray goes after Cliftonville lose 3-1 at Dungannon - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46934513 - and Glentoran seem to have resurrected their season with a second successive win, 2-1 against Newry City at The Oval. Warrenpoint crush Institute 4-0, who managed to miss 2 penalties. Institute seem to blow hot and cold. Highlights: - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/rugby-union/46934772 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46934769 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46934774 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/46935108 Linfield 3 points clear of Ballymena who are another 3 in front of Crusaders who have played a game more. It looks like it's between these 3, and more so the top two. Glenavon are 7 points adrift of Crusaders in 4th with 43 points from 25 games. No change at the bottom, as Ards and Newry both lost and remain 12th and 11th respectively. Dungannon and Warrenpoint improved their positions with wins, Dungannon are a point behind Town but 8 clear of Newry, who have a game in hand. In The Championship Larne won again while their nearest challengers, Carrick and Dundela drew 0-0 at Wilgar Park, leaving Larne 15 points clear of Carrick. Portadown are now third after beating The Welders. At the bottom Dergview and Limavady both won, leaving themselves 8 and 7 points behind Knockbreda.
Ivo den Bieman
The only surprise about Barry Gray being sacked was how long it took. Big appointment now for Cliftonville. Gray will be back before too long somewhere I’d guess. Did very well down at Warrenpoint but that was a poir spell he had at Solitude
Audaces Fortuna Juvat
So sad to see. Linfield carry on winning, 2-0 away at Newry tonight, and I am actually starting to believe we can actually win the title now. Am heading home for the League Cup Final next month and hope to take in three games as the final is a 17:30 kick off.

Jacksgranda
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47014927 Ballymena and Crusaders win to keep in touch with Linfield, Cliftonville and Glenavon draw, Coleraine lose to Dungannon ending their 7 game unbeaten run - McAree out! - and at the bottom Newry and Ards both lose, getting cut adrift a bit. Larne thrash Carrick in The Championship, and with Portadown winning at Dundela, The Ports are now second, 16 points behind Larne and 2 ahead of Carrick. At the bottom Dergview thrash Limavady at the Limavady Showgrounds, and move within 6 points of the PSNI
