Jacksgranda
Linfield easing to victory over Crusaders, 3-0. A lovely fourth goal at the death, final score, 4-0 Linfield. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51590844 Here's the highlights - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/51590845 Edited February 22, 2020 by Jacksgranda Update
Jacksgranda
No slip up for Coleraine at The Brandywell this time, as they hammer Institute 4-0. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/51600116 Dungannon Swifts get 3 vital points at Taylor's Avenue, 2-1 to the Co Tyrone men. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/51601171 Ballymena take a point at Solitude, 1-1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/51597798 The two Glens draw 2-2 at Mourneview. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/51601011 And Larne see off Warrenpoint Town 1-0 at Inver. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/5160011t https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51600201 That leaves Linfield 7 points clear but Coleraine have a game in hand, which they play tomorrow night. * Glentoran are a further point back on 58, then the Crues and Cliftonville on 55, both with a game in hand. Larne are two points further back in sixth. At the bottom it's Institute twelfth with 15 points, two behind Warrenpoint and then in tenth are Dungannon with 26, having played a game less than their relegation rivals. Swifts looking relatively safe, but it can all change fairly quickly. In The Championship, Portadown could "only" draw with Ards at Bangor, 1-1. A goal feast at Ferney Park, Ballinamallard 6 PSNI 4. Loughgall drew 1-1 at Ballyclare, Newry cruise to a 4-1 win at Knockbreda and Dergview draw 1-1 at the Welders. Queen's beat Dundela, 3-1. Portadown 9 points clear of The Mallards, who have a game in hand. Then Loughgall a further point back, also with a game in hand, with Newry fourth on 47 points, 6 behind Loughgall, but with a game in hand on them and United. At the bottom Knockbreda look stranded on 16 points from 27, PSNI next with 23 also from 27 with Dergview ahead of the bobbies on goal difference with 2 games in hand. That's your lot! * ETA: Got that wrong, misread the fixture list. Edited February 26, 2020 by Jacksgranda
Jacksgranda
Coleraine equalise against Larne in the cup, lovely strike. 2-1 Larne, atrocious marking. 2-2, silly penalty conceded. Great save from the Larne keeper. End to end stuff. Heading for extra time... Maybe not, Bradley 2-3, Coleraine in front for the first time. 3 additional minutes - where did that come from? Yaaas, third year in a row Coleraine have put Larne out. Larne maybe unlucky not to take it to extra time, but who cares. Interesting mention (by Kenny Bruce) of a ‘Cross Border’ competition. Also the notion of using ‘a mathematical formula’ to determine final league positions. That Linfield could declared ‘Champions’ but NOT awarded ‘a title’!? Wonder how that proposition might have gone down in Glasgow? Hmmm[emoji848]

Jacksgranda
Glentoran beat Ballymena United 2-1 to win the Irish Cup. Fairly entertaining game, Glentoran probably just about deserved it. It's now 31 years since Ballymena won the Irish Cup.
