Jacksgranda
Here's the highlights from the NIFL Premiership. Tim McCann looks a lot better than he did when he was playing, put on a bit of weight by the looks of things and it suits him, imo. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p07n0cly Coleraine TOP - 29 from 13, second Crusaders 28 from 13, third Cliftonville 27 from 13. Fourth are Linfield 3 points behind The Reds but with 2 games in hand. Glentoran are a point behind their great rivals on 23 but have played 13 and sixth are Larne 16 points from 12. Larne have gone off the boil lately. Bottom half - Ballymena (very disappointing to date) are seventh behind Larne on goal difference having played 12 also, Dungannon Swifts are eighth with 14 from 13, I suppose they'll be happy enough with that, ninth are Carrick 12 from 12, Glenavon are 10th with 11 from 11, dreadful season so far for the Lurgan Blues, in the relegation play off spot are Institute with 6 points from 12, three points clear of bottom place Warrenpoint Town (how many times have I written that over the last few seasons only for Town to fight clear) who have 3 from 13. Derry City in Europe next season - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50189511 In the NIFL Championship Portadown lead the way on goal difference from Loughgall both on 30 points from 14 games, closely pursued by Ballinamallard United on 28 from 14, those 3 seem to be in control, 6 point gap from The Mallards to Dundela. Are Portadown finally on their way back? At the bottom Knockbreda are 8 points adrift already, 6 points from 14. PSNI and Dergview above them. In the Intermediate they've only played 3 or 4 games, top on goal difference are Annagh United with 9 from 4. My local teams, Tobermore and Moyola aren't doing well with 2 and 1 points respectively. Ex top flight clubs Bangor, Lisburn Distillery, Armagh City and Limavady United aren't setting the heather on fire either.

Jacksgranda
5 of the top 6 win - top of the table Coleraine 2-0 at Stangmore Park against The Swifts, Cliftonville 2-1 at Mourneview as Glenavon's poor season continues, Linfield see off Carrick 2-0 at Windsor, Larne have a strolll in the park at the Ballymena Showgrounds winning 3-0, so the odd one out is Crusaders who drew 1-1 with Institute at Seaview, great point for 'Stute. Glentoran rattled in 4 first half goals at Milltown before putting their feet up in the second half. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50235760 Coleraine top 32 from 14, Cliftonville second 31 from 14, third are The Crues 28 from 14 with Linfield fourth on 27 points and two games in hand. Fifth Glentoran 26 from 14, Larne sixth with 19 points from 13. Bottom half: seventh Ballymena, 16 from 13, eighth Dungannon Swifts 14 from 14, ninth Carrick Rangers 12 from 13, tenth Glenavon 11 from 12 with Institute eleventh with 7 from 13 and Warrenpoint propping everyone up, 3 from 14. Jacksgranda
Coleraine lose their unbeaten record at Warrenpoint - a result more reminiscient of the Rodney McAree era, rather than Oran Kearney's second coming - and also lose their top of the table spot. 3-1 to Town. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50448020 Cliftonville are the new leaders, courtesy of a 1-0 win at Solitude over misfiring Ballymena. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50448023 The one time you'd want Ballymena to win... Crusaders are third, having defeted Carrick on Friday night, 3-1. Cliftonville 37 from 16, Coleraine 35 from 16 and Crusaders 32 from 16. Linfield are fourth with 3 games in hand, which if they won them would put them 2 points clear at the top. 10 man Larne beat Dungannon Swifts. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50448018 At the bottom Warrenpoint Town (spit, hiss, boo) now have 6 points from 16 only 2 behind Institute who have a game in hand. Glenavon are 10th, with 11 points from 13 games.

Jacksgranda
Leaders Cliftonville drop two points at Inver against Larne, 1-1. Larne are going to be a thorn in the side of the more established teams this season, and maybe longer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50529956 Coleraine bounce back after last week's humiliation with a fighting victory over Carrick Rangers at the Coleraine Showgrounds, 3-2 to the Bannsiders. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50533118 No fairy tale for Warrenpoint this week as Crusaders win 1-0 at Milltown. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50521769 Glentoran crush the Swifts 6-1 at the Oval. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50521771 And Ballymena and Institute draw 1-1 at the Warden Street Showgrounds. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/northern-ireland/50533028 Here's highlights of Glenavon v Linfield from Friday night. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50521765 Coleraine top on goal difference, 38 from 17, second are Cliftonville, third the Crues with 35 from 17 and Linfield fourth with 30 from 14. Fifth Glentoran 30 from 16 and then completing the top half are Larne with 24 from 16' Bottom half: Ballymena United 17 points from 16, eighth are Carrick 15 from 16, ninth Glenavon 14 from 14, Dungannon are also on 14 but have played 16 games, but they are currently 5 points clear of Institute who are in the play off position with 9 points from 16 with Warrenpoint Town holding everyone else up with 6 points from 17 games. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50506871 Portadown win again in the Championship, beating Loughgall 2-1, and are 5 points clear of Ballinamallard United, who are 4 points clear of Loughgall who have a game in hand. Dundela a further 5 points back. At the bottom Knockbreda have 9 points from 16, with Dergview on 14 from 16 and then PSNI with 17 from 17 and the Welders on 18 from 16. Jacksgranda
Midweek games - Linfield win one of their games in hand, winning 2-1 at Ballymena and are now 5 points behind leaders Coleraine with 2 games in hand. Jacksgranda
For the second time in two weeks Coleraine lose to relegation strugglers, 2-0 to Institute at the Brandywell. These are the sort of results that have cost Coleraine the league umpteen times since their one and only title in 1974. I saw them parading the Gibson Cup through the streets of Coleraine. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50616826 Cliftonville blow the chance to go top by losing to Glentoran at Solitude, https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50615621 Glentoran aren't going to win it but might decide who does. Crussaders go top, courtesy of a 6-1 demolition job of Dungannon. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50617575 All three have 38 points from 18 with the Crues top on goal difference. However, Linfield are now sitting fourth, 2 points behind with 2 games in hand. The Blues edged out Larne 1-0 at The International Windsor Park Stadium. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50617625 Glenavon's recent revival comes to a juddering halt as Carrick run riot at Taylor's Avenue, 6-2 to the homesters. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50616831 Ballymena's poor run continues, losing 2-1 at Warrenpoint. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/50617629 Institute and Warrenpoint still occupy the bottom two spots, but have reduced the gap on Dungannon Swifts to 2 and 5 points respectively, although Swifts have a game in hand (which may be against Linfield so might not be much use to them).
