Hope it's ok to post a few observations. There seemed to be a bit of upset at Ballymena v Linfield the other week, unsavoury shouts at Roy Carroll and Healy, what was that about? Some unusual looking grounds too, Brandywell, the long curved Stand is pretty nice looking. I hope Institute can eventually get back to their own wee ground though. Cliftonville's pitch looks dodgy & those parked cars must get battered with footballs. Also the tv presenter gives the results before showing the match highlights sometimes, bit annoying that. Jacksgranda
Linfield are champions after an 0-0 draw against defending champs Crusaders at The Windsor International Park Stadium, as Ballymena could only draw with Cliftonville, 1-1, at Solitude. So congrats to The Blues, deserved champions, I think we'd all agree. Certainly not as enthralling as last season's title fight, but that's hardly Linfield's fault. Glenavon fell away after a great start, Crusaders came back after a terrible start, but left themselves too much to do, Ballymena were a severe disappointment at the end up considering how many home games they had at the end of the season, Coleraine never got going. Where's the challenge to come from next season? Crusaders will be there, as will the defending champs. Will Cliftonville mount a challenge? Will this season encourage or discourage Ballymena? Still games to play so those questions can wait, I suppose!

Ballymena beat Coleraine 1-0 and hope to finish second. Ards off the bottom after beating Institute. Goals galore and a missed penalty as Warrenpoint beat Dungannon 5-3. Jacksgranda
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48032450 Ballymena clinch runners up spot by beating Glenavon 4-3, so well done to them (he said through gritted teeth). It will be interesting to see whether they do a Coleraine or whether they can hang on in there, I suspect the latter, if Jeffrey is still in charge. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48035055 Linfield thrash Cliftonville 5-1, Coleraine beat The Crues 4-2 - pity they couldn't have done that in the semi final - Glentoran and Warrenpoint draw 2-2, Newry lose at Institute and Ards win against Dungannon. Looks like I may have wrong about Warren Feeney, granted he hasn't got Ards safe but at least they are in the play off spot rather than the automatic down position. Ivo den Bieman
Still fancy Ards to shade that in Bangor. Interesting game with Niall Currie now in charge at Taylor’s Avenue. However Warren Feeney has done a decent job at Ards since taking over.

Losing a goal after 5 minutes didn't help their cause, but I think The Crues would have won no matter when they scored.

Ivo den Bieman
Ards subside to a meek home defeat, shows how much I know. Hopefully Carrick make a better fist of it this time, they were shambolic in their last outing in the Premiership.

Another couple of derbies for Ballymena with Larne & Carrick coming up.
Ivo den Bieman
Feeney seems an amiable guy but his reputation as a manger isn't great, unfortunately. He did improve Ards but not by quite enough. I suspect more experience of tht league will be needed to get them back out; next season's Championship title race a battle between Ards and Portadown, at least on paper. Can see Larne finishing top half next season and ruffling a few folk further with their moneybags approach.
