I've had internet/laptop problems for over a week,  which is why you haven't had your usual riveting synopses of what's been going on in TFS league circles, but normal service has been resumed, you will be delighted to hear.

Ballymena win 4-0 at The Coleraine Showgrounds with a controversial second "goal" against 10 man Coleraine.

10 man Ards get another point, against Glentoran at The Oval, but Newry lose at Dungannon. Newry are now bottom, a point behind Ards who are 10 behind Warrenpoint Town who have a game in hand after their match was off yesterday. Ballymena are now 6 points behind Linfield with a game in hand. The Blues to lose, I think.

What do people think about Larne over there?

I suppose we're waiting for them to fall on their arse, really.

As the Sarge remarked in an earlier post about "sugar daddies" what could possibly go wrong?

Ballymena blow it by going down 2-1 at The Showgrounds to Warrenpoint Town. United should have been out of sight by half time apparently, instead of going in at 1-1. That should make Warrenpoint safe from their faint relegation worries.

Ards nearly pulled off a shock win over The Crues, but had to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw after being 2 up shortly after half time.

Inconsistent Coleraine went down 1-0 at The Brandywell to inconsisitent Institute. I wonder which Coleraine will turn up for the Irish Cup semi final?
And Newry lost 1-0 to Glenavon, so it looks like they are returning to The Championship.

Linfield 9 points clear of Ballymena, both sides having played 33. Then there's a 4 point gap to Crusaders on 64 points. The Crues maybe fancy their chances of catching Ballymena now. Glenavon are fourth another 4 points back on 60, then Cliftonville and Coleraine complete the top 6 on 51 points, Cliftonville have a game in hand.

Bottom half: Glentoran and Institute have 38 points, with The Glens having a game in hand. Ninth are Dungannon Swifts on 36 points with Warrenpoint Town in tenth on 34, 15 points clear of Ards who are 2 in front of bottom placed Newry.

No matches in The Championship; Larne top, 17 points clear of Carrick who are 7 points clear of third placed Portadown, who have a game in hand, which means Carrick maybe can't be caught ( I must confess I don't know how many they play).

Down at the bottom, Dergview have pulled clear leaving Limavady United bottom and The PSNI second last, so Dergview are maybe safe from finishing bottom, but I must admit I'm not sure if there is a play off spot for second bottom v second top in The Intermediate.

Charlie is doing fine, 9 goals from 9 games according to his proud dad.

Charlie update - 2 goals last night against Rosario, which is either an exotic trans continental friendly or a local north Belfast friendly.

Next season he's off to Glentoran apparently - not sure if that's a step up, quite frankly - so no doubt will see dad cutting about in a Glentoran tracksuit.

Congrats and good luck in the final Ballinamallard, hope the whole club and fans have a great day out and a result!

Don’t think it’s the first time Ballinamallard have been winners.

Didn’t it win the NI Tidy Village Award a couple of times?

If I'm at the football, I sometimes record the highlights programme on BBC NI after Final Score on a saturday. Hope it's ok to post a few observations.

There seemed to be a bit of upset at Ballymena v Linfield the other week, unsavoury shouts at Roy Carroll and Healy, what was that about?

Some unusual looking grounds too, Brandywell, the long curved Stand is pretty nice looking.

I hope Institute can eventually get back to their own wee ground though.

Cliftonville's pitch looks dodgy & those parked cars must get battered with footballs.:P

Also the tv presenter gives the results before showing the match highlights sometimes, bit annoying that.
