Where to start...sloppy goals, sloppy defending, aye we’re clinical, we didn’t even make their keeper work for it. Every ball in the box he collected no bother at all...

Cookie...I’m a big critic but how the hell is he still with us. His head goes we may as well be playing with ten...his attitude is stinking, and plain and simply he should’ve been off for a second yellow when he shoved the ayr player for no reason into our dugout...I know m a critic of him, but we do not need passengers who think their attitude is more important than the teams

Superb performance tonight. Shankland magic as usual but credit to Forrest, McGuffie, Kerr and Harvie for having great games as well.

Could’ve been double figures but 5 goals keeps top of the table on goal difference.

Big game to come on Saturday...

Unbelievable performance but was against a truly woeful Stenhousemuir side who looked as if they'd just met on the way down tonight for the first time.

Do the top two qualify from the groups and if so does finishing first provide any advantage for who you get in the last 16 because we ended up with Hibs last season.

First place goes through and the best runners up go through. Don’t know how many runners up go through tho.

The 8 group winners plus the 4 best runners up to through and join Celtic, Rangers, Hibs and Aberdeen in the last 16.

Think the 4 teams mentioned above will be seeded plus the 4 best teams from the group stages. Last year we got 12/12 and were seeded but got unlucky with the draw and drew the hardest possible unseeded team.

First time seeing the team this season  and Harvie looks like he could be a real asset down the wing, some of his crosses were excellent. Forrest looks like he's come on a ton with bulking up a bit and Doohan looked pretty good tonight I thought with what he had to do. McGuffie was ok but it doesn't look like he's worked on his shooting much.

Regardless of the result on Saturday, I hope both teams throw the kitchen sink at it on Saturday at Firhill for thrills in glorious sunshine in front of a decent crowd.

Austria vs West Germany on Saturday? Draw qualifies both teams regardless of who wins the shoot out.

It would but if you think it actually makes any difference to your chances of further advancing, winning the group outright with 12 guarantees a seeding. 11 may not.

Defeat by less than 4 goals for Ayr would almost certainly be fine. Not for Thistle though. Even a one goal defeat might not do them although that may clear up a bit tomorrow.

I'll happily take a 4-4 draw to ensure Partick progress.

As mentioned above, being seeded didn't really help us last year as we drew plucky unseeded underdogs Hibs away and got scudded 5-0 haha.

Would have thought our goal difference will help for either scenario

Nah im on holiday. Take the 0-0.   Save the 5-4 home win for the following week.
