Sounds like we missed several sitters as usual.  Why can't we utterly f**k teams score-wise anymore?

We did and it was embarrassing considering we are full time and the majority of our players who started were with us last year.

You'd hope it was still rustiness.  Still, a win and a clean sheet is a good start.  Need to back it up tomorrow against  Cowdenbeath and it'll see us in a good position to qualify for the knockout stage.

Ideally we need three wins going into the game against Hearts at the end of the month. It works in our favour that we play higher ranked opponents each game but you'd imagine that Hearts will win the group and we would come second at best.

However, to qualify for the next round 9 points might not be enough (last year only one side with 9 points went through in second place) so it could come down to goal difference. The chances we missed on Saturday will likely come back to haunt us.

It might not be enough but history says it's likely to be. In the first year of groups three runners up made it to 9 points and they all went through. Last year, two did but Kilmarnock went through whilst Peterhead didn't. Five out of six teams to finish runners up with 9 points got through.

With some of the surprise results on Saturday it's already looking likely 2 or 3 groups won't see a runner up make 9 points. It would be a very unlucky side who got 9 points and didnt get through. Stranger things have happened though.

We also possibly have the great advantage of playing the last game of the group stages knowing exactly what we have to do to qualify ?

If we beat Raith we will have a very good chance of qualifying no matter what happens against Hearts. Probably far to early to call though
