I have an incredible amount of admiration for your dedication to stats. It's ridiculous and beautiful in equal measure.

I'd say that's a pretty conclusive reply without really saying anything.
Well played

You have far too much time on your hands

Do Buchanan v Loy

Buchanan v Loy wouldn’t be a fair comparison.

Buchanan has spent a few years in League One in Scotland where he racked up a lot of his goals.

Loy and Stewart was a fairer comparison as they have had fairly similar careers.

Would still be interesting to see.

I agree with Rovers 92/93, which is a handy way of saying I can't be bothered...at the moment.

Give it 24 hours and I'll have worked it out, out of curiosity mind you.

If I’ve got this right then

Rory Loy

Total games - 259
Total goals - 65

Goals per game - 0.25

Liam Buchanan

Total games - 531
Total goals - 199

Goals per game - 0.37

However Buchanan has been playing at a lower level from a younger age than Loy so will obviously have better goal scoring stats. My money would be on Loy to finish on top goalscorer come the end of the season.

Oh and to even put Andy Jackson in the same bracket as either of those is laughable. He’s a decent striker at this level and that’s all. His best ever season for Brechin was in 2016-17 where he scored 16 goals in all comps so he’s hardly prolific.

For the sake of completeness, stewart's spell at Stranraer is missing from the above.

Good point. It didn't show up on Transfermarkt and I forgot it actually happened.

Calling O'Kelly Isley!

I know everyone here except "Newman" (goalkeeper) and the two guys in the right of the pic next to God (J.Graham)

Correct, Wee Pot, and next to him Joe Donnelly. I'm sure the keeper is Ian Bird - seriously.

I should have recognised Joe. I thought maybe Sandy McLaughlin for the keeper but I think that occasion was our first league game v Clydebank in 71-72 when he was the keeper (2-3)

Well done OKI. Keeper is indeed Ian Bird. Flew off soon after this picture was taken I believe.

Pot Watson in the tracksuit and Joey Donnelly beside him in the suit.  Next question: what did Joe Donnelly do which (as far as I know) no other player in the history of the Sons has done?

Scored a hat-trick on his debut (in a 6-2 win at Hamilton) ?
