Much to my disappointment he never played for the New Jersey Devils. Former basketball point guard best known for his time with the NBA's Washington Wizards God Shammgod. Also played in Poland, Saudi Arabia, China, Kuwait & Croatia. Now coaching with the Dallas Maervicks of the NBA. Up to & including high school he went under the name Shammgod Wells but upon enrolling at Providence College he was informed he would have to register under his legal name & to change his legal name would've cost $600. Baseball left fielder in MLB with the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Giants & Chicago White Sox 'Ugly' Johnny Dickshot. Johnny was actually born with the surname Dicksus but a mishearing at his father's steel mill job put the surname down as Dickshot which the family chose to adopt as their surname. The name came about as a suggestion by his grandmother to Ten's mother to make her son stand out. Ten & his wife had a child called Decillian again at the suggestion of his grandmother. Suppose the $50 bribe also played a a part. Decillian wasn't a fan & changed her name to Dixie. 1B with the Cubs & Royals in MLB plus the Whales of Japan's NPB Pete LaCock. Since went on to have a long coaching career across the minor leagues & also time down under. Interesting to note his sole career grand slam was against against legendary Cardinal's RHP Bob Gibson in Gibson's last ever game. RHP with a laundry list of MLB teams Cal McLish. Seems normal name wise but his full name was the glorious Calvin Coolidge Julius Caesar Tuskahoma McLish. Had long time involvement in baseball post-playing days in both coaching & other staffing capacities. RHP for the Marlins & Mariners Tim Spooneybarger. Still involved in baseball in some kind of coachin capacity from what I can muster. No picture for this one as it's obscure as all hell but baseball reference has a pitcher in it's records simply known only as Beer. Beer pitched 19 games for the Lancaster Lanks of the minor league Ohio–Pennsylvania League. 1B/OF currently of the Diamondbacks Seth Beer. Fitting he's at the Diamonbacks as their fans are likely drinking their sorrows due to how shite they've been this season. Contrary to the name he was pretty good & is still a top 10 ranked player in several categories. Inducted into the CFL hall of fame in 1975 & is one of four players to have his number retired by the Argos.
