When I worked for a locum agency, we had a Dr De'Ath on the books.

I had an agency job ages ago when I had to call up a Mrs De'Ath. Her voice sounded so weary when she corrected my pronunciation.

Worked in a prison for a while, it was customary to have the rookies on visits, always a visit for P Ness on the list, rarely failed hearing a shout, P Ness visit for P Ness

"Sorry, it's pronounced 'deth', not 'day-arth', Mr Welshbairn" *sigh*

Why would you not want to be Mr or Mrs Death? It's admittedly not the best look for anyone involved in medicine, but that's got to be the most double-hard, not-to-be-fucked-with surname in existence. And those fuckers are always desperate to wriggle out of it.
