In Dumbarton's only Premier season in 1984/85 the scorers were

Joe Coyle 7

John Bourke 4

Tommy Coyle 3

Albert Craig 3

Alan Kay 3

Jim Simpson 3

Kenny Ashwood 1

Gerry Crawley 1

Pat McGowan 1

Donald McNeil 1

Stuart Robertson 1

o.g. 1

Recognise a few names on there.. Tommy Coyle played in the St Johnstone side promoted from the bottom division and in the first season at McDiarmid I think he was still there.

Albert Craig played for Newcastle and Thistle, and I recognise the name Gerry Crawley but don't know where from. Was he a manager/ coach anywhere?

Genuinely didn't know the Sons had a season in the premier league in the 80's.

Whoever started this thread as a b*****d as they have forced me to spend the last hour gathering this information:

Stevie Crawford 53 goals
Andy Smith 34 goals
Ross Jack 28 goals
Andy Tod  22 goals

Drop any two from that four into the current team and we'd be back in the big league (and/or admin) again by Christmas.

I striking partnership of Toddy and Crawford would pish this league.

Even the present day versions.

20 ICT players getting 10 or more goals in the top flight is good going IMO.

The Relegator being a clubs top scorer is a strange anomaly.

Tommy Coyle left us for you shortly after Alex Totten did the same journey. Don't really know much about Crawley unfortunately. And Coyle shares a birthday with me!

He’s fucking lethal when the ball is played through to him or cut back to him. When the ball flies 10 feet over his head 20 times a game he’d be as well being stood serving the pies.

Great stuff. I think even Tree House Tam will be impressed..

Roddy Grant is top ten on our list as well, with 19 I think it was.

Lambie's last act before leaving us for Falkirk was to swap him back to you for Harry Curran. Think he knew exactly what he was doing with that one...Harry Curran does not feature on that list of goalscorers.

@Radford put  together a list of all the St Johnstone Premier goalscorers that was recently on the Saints thread, so the list is entirely his work and I'm just nicking it for here:

This is only goals scored in the top division, since 1975:

47 - Steven MacLean

41 - Liam Craig

39 - Paul Wright

29 - Murray Davidson

28 - Harry Curran

22 - Stevie May

19 - Roddy Grant

A Saints legend!!

1998-2013 were the SPL years.

Post war, Riordan is our 10th greatest goalscorer (all competitions), our 7th greatest goalscorer (league only), and our greatest goalscorer since 1975.

Capping it to league goals and appearances since 1975 only, our top scorers are:

Derek Riordan – 90 goals – (2001-2006) (2008-2001)
Ally MacLeod – 68 goals - (1975-1982)
Pat McGinlay – 60 goals - (1988-1993)(1994-2000)
Keith Wright – 59 goals - (1991-1997)
Garry O'Connor – 59 goals – (2000-2006)(2011-2012)
