Siroki Brijeg were no pushovers last year. The dons were quite lucky to progress.

It was easier than folk make out. They played a stuffy game at pittodrie but it was quite easy out there.

I reckon even  Sevco could squeak past them.

Siroki Brijeg was a great trip last time the most friendliest fans I've come access in Europe. Mostar was just a stunning place to visit well worth a visit. Thought Siroki Brijeg wasn't a great side but we struggled against them due to the lack of game time but over there it was quite easy once we got the goal.

Macedonia was a great trip last time too and was so cheap in Skopje  - was really surprised how good Shkendija was against us and the next few seasons they got to the play-off rounds so maybe the other team is one that Rangers want to avoid.

Those two trips are up there with Dnipro for me - smaller games are always the best.

Rangers fans will love Skopje it is so cheap there - Ibis £10 walk in and about 60p a drink/food very cheap too, it wasn't the easiest/cheapest to get there but there is a flight from Luton.  Would expect their stadium not to be up to standard so will play in the national stadium like Aberdeen did.

great, I'm doing a month's work in Skopje during this.

Shkupi finished 4th in the Macedonian league and aren't as good as Shkendija, who at the moment are the Celtic equivalent of the country- winning the league by miles. Both Shkendija and Shkupi are ethnic Albanian teams (Shkupi is the Albanian name for Skopje).

Can't see another Progres episode, really, but you never know. Would certainly be disastrous for Gerard if that happened again. Shkupi are better than Progres, but you'd expect a half awake Sevco not coached by a Portuguese impostor to get through. albeit narrowly.

Turbulence ahead for the venue though- as three Macedonian clubs are playing at home in the EL second leg, one will miss out playing at the national stadium, likely to be Shkupi, as Vardar then Rabotnichki have first dibs on the park and Shkupi's crumbling relic, the Cair stadium, is not up to EL standard.  This site is worth keeping an eye on, as the best English-language site on Macedonian football.

The standard is good- Shkendija were pretty unlucky against Aberdeen- and Macedonian football is improving at present. Tough tie but surely lightning won't strike Rangers twice.

Quite a lot of good early EL ties that week- Vardar will play some diddy team from Armenia, whilst Rabotnicki take on Honved.

I wish we'd drawn the baddie from the Sonic the Hedgehog games.  He was piss easy to beat.
