Was hoping Clyde would go for Lyle but aww well, good signing.. what’s your thoughts on Mcilduff ? had him a few seasons ago thought he was rotten

No you said we were signing Lyle - big difference and Mcilduff played for Alloa against us on Saturday at a game you were supposedly at.

Players Out

Christ Johnston (end of loan):lol::lol:

Just noticed this.

As for Mcilduff, yeah good player for us. We needed defenders who didn't make mistakes. Hope he finds a decent club.

Well here we go again [emoji460]️ Myself and 2 grandsons make the trip north for the Double-Header Friendly to start off the season, can we Rory beat his last season 14,000 miles and can Jim Mc get the BLUE TOON up this time? Will Del be Balmoors’ Lucky Mascot and Rory’s foil or will Rusty be the striker to fire Peterhead to promotion and himself to a higher level ? Can the defence just defend giving the midfield the chance to create or are Wullie and Simon going to be constantly fire-fighting?

All to be revealed soon hopefully in a positive vein, MON THE BLUE TOON 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿[emoji460]️[emoji122]

Ah well, at least the Blue Toon beat the Broch 2-1 after Rory,s screamer in 4 minutes Peterhead bossed 1st half though the intensity dropped off massively. Second period favoured The Broch and the deserved their comedy capers goal via PHeads ever gift bearing inconsistent defence, it was deja-vu at times. Ted sealed it with a fine run and finish with minutes to go. Hard to judge performance but a lot of improvement room available !!!

Broch hard working, off it in 1st half on top lots of the second. The referee will get someone injured this season given that performance, how was that 2 hand push on Rory in the box not a penalty ? Some of the Broch challenges 2nd period were a bit naughty. 🤬

Biggest positive, surely The Blue Toon can only improve on that performance, but given last season’s fragile mindset who knows?

See you all at Inverurie for round 2 off the double header [emoji460]️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Agreed, decent first half but the burrray loons were always going to make a fight of it,  and we were treated to some typical Highland league tackles which fired a few lads up.

Wasnt impressed with the second half defence,. 3 man   ?   Let’s hope this improves.

Decent fare today minus Rory and Ted and Paddy those featuring did pretty well. Trialist (2), Gibson (1) pen and capt, Kavanagh (1) were the scorers. Gibson turns out to be a fine left-back, defence were solid bar a couple of flutters, Greg his usual class, midfield hard working and productive and a forward gets a brace so all in all decent.

The Locos huffed and puffed but look short of TRAINing although they hit the woodwork twice, Mitchell and Leyden look useful but Angus although he looks as uf he can play was more a shunter than an Inter City 125 !

Enjoyed the company (both sides) but the journey home with the detour at Dundee wore us down a bit.

Our next outing a short day-trip to Brechin, see you there :)

Rumours abound that Rory McAllister might finally take the leap to full time football, joining Ross County with Greg Morrison going the other way to replace him.

Is there anything to this? And how do you think he'd get on? Has he left it too late to go pro?

Not heard anything about that, he is under contract for another couple of years as well so not too sure about that. No doubt he will score goals but I guess the big question would be if he can adjust to full time training at his age.
