Been saying it a lot this season but I’m actually looking forward to going down. Obviously I’ll still be apoplectic on Saturday when st Johnstone’s reserves pump us, but the pros out weigh the cons for me.

Yeah there’s less media attention in the championship and the club will lose a bit of money, but the chance to hopefully win more games, play better football, get better away days and hopefully develop some decent youngsters again will be nice.

For those of us who have watched us for decades in the lower leagues-42  years myself-I have no wish to ever return there as that is one of the reasons why our support is poor.

Staying in the top league is the only way to try and grow a support.Plenty of us never fought to bring the club back to the town to just give it up so easily and accept never being a top flight club.

Motherwell used to target Hamilton schools when were in the lower Leagues as Lanarkshire's only Premiership team.Meekly accepting this is not on my or plenty others radar.

I'm fucking miserable so here are some stats to make you all as miserable as me:

*Following stats only take into account league games*

Last time we achieved back-to-back victories:
- 2-1 v Partick Thistle & 2-0 v Motherwell (February/March 2018)

Last time we achieved back-to-back away victories:
- 3-1 v Dundee & 2-0 v Rangers (October/November 2017)

Last time we kept back-to-back clean sheets:
- 1-0 v St Johnstone & 0-0 v Motherwell (April 2017)

Last time we scored in back-to-back away games:
- 1-2 v Partick Thistle & 1-3 v Hibernian (April 2018)

We've only scored in five away games this season.

Really angry of the reality that we could be participating in the play offs.

Players need to rectify this on Saturday.

I do believe we could dispatch Inverness Caledonian Thistle with ease.

Dundee United will be as close as last time 50/50 for that one.

Mickel Miller before xmas was by a country mile our best player.

Fell away a bit recently but still really good.

Should be doing everything we possibly can to keep him on.

Are we the only club in the Western world that doesn't have an awards do in May?

I believe so.

Honestly, I would be more than happy to shell out a few quid to attend an awards night.

Left it late, but on we go to part VI eh? Despite the fact there were two absolute shiters in the division this season, six years (plus maybe?) in the top flight is a great achievement - hope you all enjoy yourselves tonight.
