-Grand Theft Premiership V- (Hamilton Academical 2018/2019 thread.)

Well that was the most enjoyable game I've watched at NDP for a while.

Matched Basel over the 90, thought the numerous chances wasted had cost Accies with a dreadful defensive mistake giving Basel the lead.

Deserved to get the last minute equaliser & can't argue with Connolly saving 3 of the Basel penalties!

Most fun I've had at New Douglas Park in a long while. Setting off a smoke bomb in front of the Uefa delegate wasn't perhaps the best idea but nevermind. Well done to the young guys, if the first team had half the fight in them we'd be doing ok.

That was amazing.
There are some really good technical players in that team, especially Mimnaugh (sp), Smith and number six.
Both of their goals were the fault of the 'keeper but who gives a f**k when he redeems himself like that? He was absolutely loving it at the end when thanking the fans.
It was some turn-out and as good an atmosphere at NDP as I can remember. The pyro at the end was the amazing daftness you've come to expect.
Special mention for the wee dick going mental at the Accies fans after Basel scored, then an even more special mention for the Accies player who ran straight to the Basel dugout when the last-minute goal went in. Get that man a statue.

What competition is this and how did the Accies u19s end up in it? Or did they just qualify from being very good?

Qualified by winning the U17s league last season. Unbeaten winning 20 games and drawing 4. That really was a terrific night. An end to end game with both teams showing great skill and commitment. A joy to watch. Well done Accies.

“Scots in Europe” forum for this pish.

Great to see one of the young teams of the #DiddyAlliance doing this business. A really bizarre scenario but what an occasion for the team and Hamilton as a club. Hopefully progress past the Danes in the next round and see where the draw takes them.

You'll have your day in Europe very soon.
