Dundee United 2018/2019

Other than United scoring more goals than the other team what do people look for in their "matchday experience"?

I have been to games in 6 different leagues across Europe in the past year and it all seems to be pretty much a football match happens. Better coffee though.

However, I have been to watch NFL in NY and they had a monkey dressed as a cowboy riding a dog.

"A monkey dressed as a cowboy riding a dog". [emoji15] sounds like Jamie Robson's last night out. What leagues have you attended, and which ones stood out, prices facilities ect........?

Better quality food and a bit more fan engagement I suppose but the reality is that a win on the pitch is the only thing that matters.

Another issue at United is the 'walk up' fan and the hassle to get a ticket, which has been improved slightly recently. A ticketless or card system would help as would the ability to get a QR code if you buy your ticket online. The club are looking at things like this.

Basically the Managing Director thought the experience he had in the George Fox was pretty depressing and he wants to see if we can make a little better.

Pretty alarming line from that interview with the new United owner;

So promotion or merger bust then?

There is a budget in place for next season if we don't get promoted. The owners have committed to the club regardless of what league we are in next year or beyond. The money making bit won't happen unless we are in the top flight.

This year though? That was until May 2018. I'd imagine May 18-May 19 they will do pretty well given their form and increased revenue. I don't know the ins and outs, just what the finance guy said last night.

So, it's a case of get promoted as quickly as possible so the new owners don't get bored? They're not going to stick around very long if they're not making any money.

Good for United overall though. Even if it doesn't happen this season you can be sure there will be an almighty splurge in the summer.

Of course. Most successful people are more than happy to lose lots of money as long as they're having fun.

Long term vision we will be back up this season or next Ayr will bottle it and pretty much between United and County come May anyways
