I was never particularly impressed by Thompson Sr. (although his heart was in the right place) or Jr. Indeed, I'd go so far as to say that I thought he was an arse before it was fashionable. The whining about his inheritance being pissed away whilst simultaneously pocketing a very nice wedge, thank you very much, acting as chairman of his dad's football club. Boo fucking hoo. If he didn't like it, he should have fucked off. And now he has. Which is a good thing. I don't hate him though and thought a lot of the vitriol aimed at him was unnecessary.
