Too easy for valencia Brendan needs to up his game in Europe,Celtic missed Tierney,Rogic and Ntcham too make the difference.

The Valencia manager obviously had more desire .

If Celtic upped their game, Valencia could just up it more and beat them. When it comes to this level of competition, Celtic are no less diddies than most clubs they play.

It's natural to underestimated a team you don't support plus your vast knowledge of Valencia.

Brendan's Celtic have had decent results and performance the 2 draws with Man city and the wins against Zenit and RB Liepzig at home.

Celtic are not a top tier European team but beating Valencia is not beyond Celtic's ability.

The aggregate score would tend to suggest it is.

Can almost taste Bonner's tears from here. Wonderful.

He's an absolute thicko

They were in the Champions League and finished behind Juventus and Man Utd; two teams with vastly superior resources. Given a kinder group they might still be in that competition.

Both legs were a stroll and they could have gone up a gear, but it wasn't necessary and finishing in the top 4 is more of a priority than this competition.

If Juve never absolutely shat the bed from a winning position against a crap Man U side Valencia wouldn't be in the Europa League. Valencia were a better side than Man U during the group stages. It's like when we went through ahead of a superior Benfica side when we beat Barcelona. And yet, Valencia probably aren't one of the better sides in the Europa League and I was okay with the draw when it was made.

I did think we would've had more in us at home. Kinda reminded of Borussia Monchengladbach where we were played well off the park at home and played pretty well away. I didn't see Valencia having a gear to step up until we lost a man despite the fact their fans were clearly voicing their displeasure at what they were watching.

That's what happens to Celtic at home against smaller teams though?

I would just like one Celtic fan - one out of however many millions were in Seville - to admit that their domestic success is based solely on having more money than anyone else, and yet they fall over in Europe the moment they come up against anyone vaguely on a par with them financially, let alone above them.  Their domestic success is nothing to do with character or spirit or desire, because those things are conspicuous by their absence in Europe where in theory they should be up for it the most. Their players are either young guys using them as a stepping stone to better things or lazy cowards happy to sit in a domestic comfort zone but unable to do anything at a higher level.

Just admit that they're nothing special.

Do you seriously think anyone, including Celtic fans think anything different?  Barcelona are likely to beat Peterhead just because Barcelona has a better manager? Gretna was a good example, we see it every season in every league in the world, I dont understand why you push a given.

What do you want us to do , what happens for instance when Motherwell score against a lower league team in  the cup? do you hate it and whip yourself in self loathing for being happy about the goal when you have so much more money?

The beauty in football is anything , well mostly  anything,    is possible , why do we pack Celtic park every time we get Barcelona in Europe? Because sometimes money does not win 100% of the time

So are you saying the Bluetoon   might pull off a surprize win against Barcelona, think it would have to he the home leg at Balmoor with one of Peterheads breezy nights upsetting the Spaniards. :thumsup2

No your manager is better, still if Dundee Utd can do it with such frequency we must all be in with a chance;)
