Good to hear how much Arbroath fans rate Doris. Excited to see him play in the sky blue

He's always caused us nothing but problems playing against us but again fitness looks a bit of an issue.

We badly need some pace and energy into the team.

Fitness is the issue but for his sake I hope he gets back to his best. Such a good player and servant to Arbroath.

Problem is he has not been able to play regularly since coming back from a bad injury, which is understandable as we were flying when he returned and now we've jumped a league too he isn't up to pace. Could've done better keeping himself in shape too like but he'll know that himself

He played the full 90 on Monday and yes he is similar to Jacko in the fitness stakes, but if we finally decide to play Coupe up alongside him that may be the way to go.

It's just been officially announced. Hilly has gone to Arbroath "for a five figure sum" plus Steven Doris. According to the Facebook post Hilly was probably not going to sign another contract with us so to get at least £10,000 is much better than him going on a free in the summer. Hopefully Steven Doris gets fit, and I agree with tbsouth, playing him alongside Coupe could be really effective. Although Coupe needs to really improve his finishing him harassing defences, creating spaces for a (hopefully) clinical finisher in Doris to score.

Really sad to see Hilly go but no doubt he'll be back as a 35 year old and finish his career at Station Park.

One Forfar legend leaves for Arbroath as an Arbroath legend leaves for Forfar, quite poetic and hopefully works out as best for both parties.

Hilson will struggle at Gayfield, the pitch will see him in the treatment room for the 18 months he will be there.

I’ll miss Hilson and hope he does well. He’s always had injuries in the championship, so hope he stays fit.

Looks like he’s went about the move in a decent way, which is all you can ask really.

Without wishing to put Doris down in any way, his injury record will be worse.

Hope you're ok though bud. You seem pretty upset

Led to believe we were after Doris, must have been downto money in the end. What I would say is I don't think Sp would have offered him an 18 month deal too much of a risk.Good player on his day but has been Injured a fair amount over the years.

Doris needs to be playing every week to keep fit but otherwise a good player & i wish him all the best. Hopefully he doesn’t have any issues on the plastic pitch and just keep him away from the bridies!

Not sure where this “all forfar players are overweight” theme has come from really.

We’ve arguably got the most handsome team in the league.

Only really had one bad injury recently, and you’d be lucky if any semi-decent player would sign for 6 months.

See how it pans out just think it's a bit of a gamble tbh.

What an admission! Your team could only muster a draw on January  11th,  against a team of "fatties".....what does that say about how good Raith Rovers are? Good luck to Steven Doris at Forfar.
