Off the top of my head astro pitches usually need replaced once every ten years or so. 8 years in the summer.

I assume this means the pitch will be replaced in the summer. Taken from the common good fund I believe . Just hope the council don't go delving into the other town's reserves like other projects in the county.
RateofKnots
It's ok, the council have £200k to spend on crazy golf, I think some astro for £50k is a bargain comparatively.

Can we expect a windmill in the six yard box?

Glasgow Loon
Sad news about ex player Stevie Graham Many of the older school of Forfar Athletic supporters will be saddened to hear of the death yesterday in his adopted home of Derby after a long battle with illness of Stevie Graham at the age of 63. Stevie was a member of the ‘Loons’ squad under the stewardship of Archie Knox who reached the first national semi final in our history in the 1977/8 season, coming on as a substitute in that dramatic and never to be forgotten extra time defeat in the League Cup against Rangers. Stevie joined the ‘Loons’ in the summer of 1977 from Auchterhouse Amateurs, the same ‘breeding ground’ from which his lifelong friend Billy Gallacher was to arrive from later in the campaign. He made his debut on the opening day of that season scoring the only goal of the game in a 1-0 home win over Raith Rovers. In a two season stint at Station Park at the time, he made twenty-two starting appearances plus eighteen from the bench, netting six goals. He returned to the Club for the majority of the 83/4 season by which time Doug Houston was the man in charge but made only three starting appearances in what was our first ever title winning campaign. ‘Loons’ officials learned of Stevie’s terminal illness only early last month, but were delighted to send off a replica home shirt to him, which we know he wore with pride in the final weeks of his life. At this time the thoughts and sympathy of all at Station Park are with his wife Sandra, family members, friends and his former colleagues at Station Park, many of whom we know were in contact with Stevie and his family in recent trying times. RIP Stevie.

Bridie Vision
Very dull first half against Elgin. Didn't really expect anything else.
Bridie Vision
Second half was better. But 0-0 full-time says it all. It would be really helpful if they could get a commentary team in place before the league restart.
negros y blancos
A big thank you for the free streaming of today’s game pity it wasn’t a goal feast but great to see my team on the park again [emoji460]️ all the best to Forfar for the rest of your season [emoji1474]

Considering it was a friendly kick about, I would say you were lucky that Forfar bothered streaming it and for free, having a pop at no commentary is a bit harsh and also was an extra person in the ground to commentate necessary? Well done Forfar I say.

Well done Forfar I say. Notice I said in time for the league restart, it was indeed a good and very kind gesture to stream it free, and I agree commentary wasn't necessary today, but it could improve the experience when competitive matches begin. Since League One was put on hold I have occasionally tuned into the Arbroath stream and their comms team are really good and entertaining. Maybe Forfar have tried to get commentary but there haven't been any suitable candidates. I'm sure there is a skill to commentating live sport, very different to chatting in the pubs like we did (and hopefully will do again soon). To sum up, I wasn't having a pop at Forfar Athletic TV merely a suggestion. All lower league clubs' streaming services have improved since last summer and will certainly continue to improve.

RandomGuy.
You've signed Jordan Northcott on loan from us, as far as I know hes a centre forward. Played for us at a young age and looked a bit small, but seems to have bulked up a lot this year.

speedframe
I assume the directors / committee / officials watch the games in the flesh as opposed to shite we see streaming.I cannot imagine it looks any less shite. How can they be satisfied with the downward spiral under Mr Malcolm ?
nofixedability
You get the feeling the board are backing Malcolm look at the volume of players coming in. The happy clapping on the web site suggests it too, how anyone can find a positive on today I don’t know. We were abject and could have played to now and not had a shot. The fact is the only players that have done anything this season were signed by previous managers. Why sign Allan, Antonazzi, et all if you don’t rate them? Why sign Mark ‘Huge’ Hill on a 2 year deal at all? Yes unlucky with injuries but he clearly does not know what to do to sort it. Think he can set out an OK defence but mid to front is a mess. The league is still survivable it looks like a three way fight with Clyde and Dumbarton but we need a better manager to do it.
