Tending to agree about Burns but have some sympathy for Weir given he thought Eckersley was signed up. But Jamie Bain at left back is not the answer, saw that last season don’t need to see it again. The Montrose game on Tuesday cemented for me that Coupe and Aitken are subs not starters at the moment. Playing either ahead of current options not going to happen. We do need another centre half and a striker that is decent in the air and can hold a ball up though, oh for a young Sanny.

We showed more once Bain and Coupe came on....Burns has cost us the last 2 games, it;s time to change it, Kirkpatrick had nothing to play on today.

He was in and out at us, but he scored some important goals and with a bit more muscle about him, he will be a fantastic signing. You could tell his movement up front was beyond League 1, wouldn't be surprised if this is his breakthrough season depending on the chances he gets.

Bringing in a job lot of Brechin duds not looking like a master stroke at the moment.

We tried to warn you .

No doubt we will be back to take them off your hands .  They might be handy in the Highland League . ;)

Forfar Athletic officials are delighted to report that Manager Jim Weir and first-team coach Barry Sellars are now recovering well at home having been involved in a horrific head-on motorway collision not long after leaving Ochilview following last night’s training session.

Along with the driver of the other vehicle involved Jim who was at the wheel of his company car and Barry were rushed by ambulance from the scene to Forth Valley Hospital but were fit enough to be released during the night.

Both Jim and Barry have suffered fairly severe whiplash injuries as well as more than a few cuts and bruises but when one sees the photographic evidence they are both lucky to not have sustained more serious injury.

Knowing both, they will be keen to be in the dugout no doubt come Saturday afternoon, but they will also take the required medical advice we are sure before any firm decision is made.

Thankfully the driver of the other vehicle also escaped serious injury.

All ‘Loons’ supporters will we are sure to be wishing Jim and Barry all the best following this harrowing experience and also a speedy recovery to full fitness.
