So is Bain and Moore.......played there many a time and your point is?

Appreciate Bain has played left back in emergencies but he can naturally play there.

Don’t get me wrong, if Whyte plays there he’ll do a job. But he’s a centre half and would be more comfortable there

Fails to mention Reilly, Wilson and Moore all start though.

What a fud.

Solid performance from the new boys, Stenny were piss poor up front though!

Coupe came right in to it 2nd half and Muzza once again MOTM and scored a cracking goal (not bad for being a squad player)

Reilly again flattered, Wilson did ok and Moore does not have that burst of pace needed to go past people although he did work hard.

Also, four games on the bounce without conceding?

The back three worked well after a couple of nervy moments early on. Malone can pick a pass from deep

Given that Easton has made himself unavailable due to an act of self indulgent petulance , and Hilson is not 100%. Here is tomorrow's lineup.

McCallum

Meechan Wilson Munro Whyte

Bain McIntosh Fraser Reilly

Baird Moore.

Come on guys. 9 from 11 not a bad call.

Malone rewarded for his Tuesday night performance and was pretty solid today.

Fair play to J.W. for giving Coupe the nod over Fraser. He brought pace to burn and looks a good prospect.

TBF Fraser did come on after Coupe had run out of gas!

Baird up front himself next week, he is going to need runners supporting him, Coupe and Muzza with Fraser sitting possibly or even Malone

Also remember Kelly is a solid Left back who can slot in there if Kennedy isn't fit yet.

Gary Fraser left the club. Not seen a lot from him to suggest it is a big loss hopefully frees up money to allow Weir to strengthen squad.
Not enough game time to make a judgement but we need somebody big and tough to shore up the midfield.

Gary Fraser.
Seems a strange one, leaving in the same transfer window as he signed.
He had a decent game against Livingston Colts on the Tuesday , only to see Coupe start before him on Saturday.
Is he out of Football or will he do a Swankie?
What ? Never darken our pitch again because of a non existant Gentlemans Agreement that must actually exist....

Transfer/ Registration  Window.

FAFC release statement for fans explaining new regulations.

By releasing Gary Fraser before 31:08:18 it means he is a free agent and can sign for any Club ,in any division,at any time in the future.

Did he get a signing on fee?  Was it repaid?  If he was keen to sign in June, what happened to change his mind? Jim Weir is now left looking for an unsigned , defensive, experienced, mid fielder who wants to play in League 1. Good luck with that!

The statement says that L1 and L2 clubs can sign loan players up to 30:09:18 . Up to 4 in total. It looks like Jim will go for 2 loan signings.

Although not by choice , it looks like we will have a really young squad come 30th. September.

Sounds like Eddie Malone ( except he’s signed).

Youngsters away till January.

From the website...

"Forfar Athletic manager Jim Weir has decided to ‘farm’ out defender Sam Clark and midfielder Jack Allan to Forfar West End.

The temporary transfer arrangements are until early January and will give both players valuable game time with the Strathmore Park club who are again participating in what is this season a re-vamped East Region Super League.

With no Development or Reserve side this term, playing opportunities are limited for the Athies fringe players, so this arrangement hopefully will be to the benefit of all parties."
