beaver1 98 Report post Posted May 12, 2018 Well, chuffed for our manager who is a great guy for all sorts of reasons and who had a really tough job the last two seasons. This season he put together a team that proved they were as good as the top 2, if not better on our day. Problem was we couldn’t put teams away often enough. Today being another prime example. We could easily have been 2 up at HT today but we weren’t and lo and behold Peterhead score with their 1st (?) shot on target.We held on and the red card helped. Should he have gone for a last man challenge in the 1st half? But it was helluva nervy and we looked out on our feet. Good job we were playing 10 men.Some stand out performers this season. Ross Dunlop, Mark Ferry, Mark McGuigan and of course Harry Paton. Obviously Paton won’t be with us next season but if we can get the core of the team signed up then we will go up with high hopes. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

To lose out on promotion after finishing 22 points ahead of Stenny must be heartbreaking, but if I was a Stenny fan I would be cock a hoop!. Bold statement. You might have had a hex over the second placed team but you only managed 1 goal and 1 point against the champions. Enjoy your day/night. We had a great weekend a couple of weeks ago. It's a good feeling when you support one of the underdogs but you get a wee sniff at glory. Look forward to a couple of trips to Ochilview next season.
