Reggie Perrin
At my first Pace game since 2000 tonight and thoroughly enjoyed a fiercely competitive game with Preston Athletic.£6 well spent.
RobM
Believe Musselburgh and Pace have now qualified. Section decider though on Saturday, looking forward to the game.
gaz5
Yep, both qualified. Suspect the Pace might rest a few in favour of their 20's on Saturday given their lengthy injury list. Already qualified and 10 on the treatment table. Probably not worried about going through in first or second place add much as the start of the league in 2 weeks. Objective to get out of the group has been met either way.
LeedsPhil
Has the venue been decided yet for Saturday 11th August - home vs Newtongrange Star in the Alex Jack Cup? At Camelon again? (they don't have a home game that day). Thanks in advance.

I hope if our park can't cope in the winter dispite the work whether the pace would help with use of their plastic pitch to avoid a pile up

Guest
For Dunipace the Qualifying Cup was always going to be about doing as well as we could. After being bottom seeds and getting drawn against Preston (last year's 3rd place in eosfl), Burntisland (mid table last year) and Musselborough (last year's Premier ersjfa winners) progressing out of the group was always going to be the challenge for us. Thankfully we managed to get the job done in the first two games. Yesterday against Musselborough we came up against a well drilled, good footballing side who moved the ball well and played some good football. We just didn't manage to adapt well to that style on the day, sadly for us! At 2-0 with 86 mins played I think that would have been a fair result on the basis of the day's play, but a late flurry from the home side and a lack of concentration on Dunipaces part made the game look far more one sided than it was. This being said the learning to take away for Dunipace is if you drop concentration for as little as 4 minutes against good teams, you will be punished mercilessly. Dunipace have started well, with lots more to come from a talented squad of players. As the season progresses it will be an interesting journey, playing against some very good sides and attempting to be competitive in a strong conference. It is exciting times for the club and there is a good level of anticipation for the challenges that lie ahead.
Mr Prez
Dunipace 3..0 Newtongrange great result today in the end well deserved great performance our goalkeeper was outstanding pen save as well gives the team a great platform. Never saw a ref get so much wrong in one game for both teams
drs
Third goal was a stonkingly good one with 10 men after a great run up the left wing - I was one of several telling him to take it into the corner but fair play to him for putting a ball into the box for the third. Thought the referee was too card happy - and to show some non-bias from behind the goal it looked as if Star had scored when the ball rebounded back off the post as it then spun over the line and Kane looked a good couple of yards behind the whole line when he caught it.

gaz5
Yards? Had he macheted his way through the net in the build-up [emoji14]?Big nets at Carmuirs. [emoji16] FWIW, I thought it looked over as well, but a deserved lucky break for the home side for the "shenanigans" on the day. [emoji846] And probably cancelled out by the goal chalked off at the other end before it TBF.
