Well we got there in the end , maybe not near our top game yet, so you've got to take a win against a team with maybe twice our budget ,but boy did we make it difficult for ourselves .Thought at the end Doohan ,Bell and Muirhead got the sleeves  rolled up and got wired in ! Which was needed because our midfield continuously gave the ball away . No out ball up front when Moffat and Forrest were on, improved a bit with Doolan ,the boy has some first touch btw ... So we have Stranraer at home next Saturday ,Stranraer have a tough game against Livingston on Tuesday ,this gives us a great chance to get out the group with 9 points and a good goal difference . So not all bad on a sunny July Saturday ...

Odd formation for us today - looked like a 4-5-1 to me with Forrest left and McCowan right.  The midfield 3 seemed pretty disorganised,  with no one really holding things in front of the back 4.  I can’t help thinking Falkirk will prove to be a very good team over the season, so have to be happy with a win.

Think today was a massive result for us and could go a long way to helping our season. Until they went down to ten men I thought Falkirk were going to win by a few goals. Our squad is somewhat meh and the only way of improving is with cash from this cup. Looking at other results we are now in a pretty good position to qualify

First look today and I think we’ll be fine, gutsy performance against a big strong Falkirk who will scoosh that league.

like the look of all the new boys and McCall rotating his old heads.

Kelly looks what he is a raw boy who’ll do fine

Doolan I like great first touch and a predator who will score goals

Aberdeen boy looks a lively sort

Mcguffie although he missed a sitter to kill the game has def improved and way ahead of Forrest who was again disappointing still think he’ll be no better than a junior, McCall roaring at him to get involved  whole first half and lost patience with him and subbed again

No better than junior? You really don't have a clue... you obviously weren't at Livingston on Tuesday where Forrest was our best player by some distance and he was only on for 45 mins against a premiership team.

Wasn't at the game today another goal and assist for McCowan seems to really be stepping up to the mark to the mark really hope the boy can become a star

He played well today but tired in the second half.

He also needs to improve his decision making we broke in the 2nd Half at 2-1 and instead of squaring it to McGuffie (who was clean through) he decided to take it himself and lost the ball. That will improve with time and learning from old heads like Moffat & Doolan.

Anyone know why the Asian guy was escorted out the ground in the first half, he was holding his phone hooked up to some other gadget. Looked a bit odd.

I believe he was streaming the game .lol. A telling off might have done it tbh no need to throw him out .might have came back next week and bought a season ticket . 🤣

Mcguffie didn't hold his line and would have been offside. Think that's why he held on to the ball.

Maybe, I hadn't considered McGuffie could have been offside. He certainly didnt look it as I was screaming at McCowan to square it. 😇

It was hardly the most discreet effort with three electrical type devices sat on the turnstyle in front of him

If we’re thinking of the same incident, McGuffie had run offside.
