McGinty isn't the worst. The fullbacks have been woeful all season.

Aye. Fullbacks have been the major issue since day one.

We just need to see improvement in personal there.

Thought Mcallister had done well tonight. Really should have improved the back four during the January transfer window. Everything seems to be hitting and hoping from the back.

Anyway, best of luck against Arbroath lads. Should be an easy 3 points for you live on the telly, no pressure!

Rough one lads 😬

Somehow beating Paul Hartley's Cove Rangers wasn't the boot up the arse needed to keep a title race going that some thought it was last week...

Happy for Arbroath to remain in the league in favour of Hartley FC tbh. It's not as if Ayr were going to do anything productive with three points tonight save for the potential for yet another embarrassing TV performance in the playoffs.

He’s got a point. Many on this thread were talking up our chances of still being in the title race this time last week after beating a rubbish Cove side.

Ah but you see, tonight was entirely due to the Debbie Downers in the support making the players sad in advance of the game. Nobody Could Have Known this was likely. Any team could have [checks notes] handed Arbroath literally their second home win of the entire season on a plate.

It's unreasonable to expect folk to be realists all the time. Half the fun in football is dreaming about what might happen. So long as they aren't trying to gaslight everyone it's harmless.

We are at least guaranteed points/wins v Cove.
