Well some good business done and I’m being greedy and would like to see us getting cover for Akinyemi just in case and a striker that could play with him, the boy McDonagh has been let go by Cove a big strong lad who played really well in the game at Ayr, he is the only centre I have seen giving  Kirk a really hard time and gave us problems especially in the air andI think he scored the equaliser against us

According to Cove fans that game was a complete one off and judging by their comments we’d be better off with asking Kevin Kyle to come out of retirement. I do agree that he looked handy against us. Decent touch and never gave Kirk a minutes peace. Definitely the style of striker that Dipo has done well alongside but for me McKenzie does the job well enough for this level.

Having just played their first home game in two months I'm sure Morton were hoping we'd get knocked out tonight so the rearranged league game would be scheduled for the Saturday 11th.

But we didn't.

What a wee shame.

Presume this was the reason we've gone a month pretty much since the postponement without a new date, will no doubt be a tuesday night now in March

So Queens Park have fucked it tonight and will likely be kicked oot the cup.

I assume we checked about Mullin, who was on the bench tonight.

You would think after getting thrown out of a competition last season the club would now have a system in place to make sure only eligible players are included in match day squads.

If he didn't play, does it matter?

The rule says "listed on the Official Team Line", which I imagine would include unused substitutes. But Mullin was registered at the time of the original game so unless there's another rule about changing the nature of a registration I don't see a problem.

It includes starters and all subs.

Or alternatively Bryden going out on loan for us to bring in a senior striker.

There’s no way any of Smith , Bryden McKenzie will be loaned out , they are really good cover if anything was to go wrong , not many experienced guys will sign to sit on the bench at this point of the season they normally move to get game time
