They mentioned a timetable of mourning a while ago for the BBC and its mental.

No Joyous music for days, No comedy or light entertainment  to be screened for days. Stuff like that. I am sure they postponed games when Diana died.

I doubt very much that the games will go ahead, possibly even next weekend either. I hope I am wrong.

Absolutely ridiculous. All fun cancelled. Wrap Charles in cotton wool and if needed put him on a life support machine for eternity.

It's about the act of showing respects though, suspending matches as a mark of respect.

It's outdated but there will be a lot of backlash if games aren't suspended so it will be easier just to pull the card until next Tuesday.

Anyone who has a problem with some games of football going ahead this weekend is a lunatic. Sporting authorities shouldn’t be paying any attention to them.

It’s not disrespectful playing a game of football though is it? Clubs across the country can mark their respect by having a minutes silence or applause, and the SPFL and most clubs have tweeted a message about the Queen dying, presumably as a mark of respect. Only so many marks of respect you can do.

The talk of backlash if games go ahead? From who exactly? Certainly not those attending the games - other than Rangers fans. There will be a huge backlash if games are cancelled, and the SPFL willingly choose to deny their members clubs thousands of pounds of income.

If people think about the bigger picture rather than acting like they have had their favourite toy taken off them they would see that everything will be postponed in the coming days “as a mark of respect” whether they like it or not.

I am not a royalist or want the game to be postponed but these things always happen at times like these so I fully expect it will be postponed like the Dundee game tonight.

The poppy patrol are bad enough in the lead up to Remembrance Day and this will be their World Cup final.

Matter of resources too, no? If they are transporting her back down the road on Saturday the police will be stretched pretty thin with that.
