Who knows if Lee Bullen will be a success, but when you see Dundee digging up Mark McGhee then you can see how limited the options are.  We were right to try and think outside the box a bit this time round.

Fully agree with this. There was something uplifting about trying something new when signing a manager instead of picking from the usual Scottish lower-league merry-go-round of duds and dinosaurs.

Regardless of how Bullen turns out (recent signs are showing some promise) I'm pleased Ayr tried something different when recruiting.

I get that but it was a league win, not toppling a giant of the game. Not a once in a generation result. It'll count for nothing if we go down. We didn't win a cup. As pleasing as it is to beat them, The gloating lasts a few days, the clips get shared and you move on to the next game.
It's over a week later and it sounds like we are going to release a DVD of the game or a commemorative plate.

It’s quite the compliment how over the moon the Ayr fans get with a win over Killie. You really do see these as your major historical achievements. Quite sad really.

Only took a week before you crawled out from under your rock.

Maybe do us all a favour and just stay under there forever.

The good thing about this is that it was not planned , team were training near them and someone went and asked Bullen if he could take the players up to Shoot after training to meet the youngsters and he obliged

Rumour is pitch is currently waterlogged, with snow and cold temperatures coming tomorrow, surely must be in doubt , any Inverness fans who can confirm ?

Drove through Inverness today. No snow and was dry. At the drumochter pass though it was totally wild with heavy snow and road covered. Getting there will be the issue rather than the caley pitch.

Allan that runs the new gym at Pro Soccer is an Ayr fan and I know some the team have been in there to try it out. He's also done some training with AUFA as well

Are the club using Whitletts for training all the time now?

It might not seem it but it'll save a bit on travelling time for central based players. 2min off the bypass rather than travelling all the way in to Cambusdoon. Could save half an hour every day.

Unchanged side.

Can’t exactly complain, but the turning point against Kilmarnock was the introduction of Tomi. Still think we need more threat from our wide players, but I guess there is an argument those two suit playing away from home against better side. I’m not overly confident with that side but hopefully we can keep it tight again until the introduction of Tomi who can perform similarly.

I know he'll be on a big wage at Celtic, but get this Kerr McInroy signed up pronto!

Ben Dempsey impressing again too

Amazing what happens when you actually have a midfield
