I'm ever the optimist. However... wondering if both ourselves and Killie get punted from the cup tomorrow then the league game can get moved to Saturday Feb 12th?

Doubt it cause i'd imagine a lot of the police planning will be already arranged

Anybody else seen Tomi’s Instagram recently? Appears to have deleted all his Ayr related posts…

He's not changed anything on Twitter still plenty of Ayr posts in there, the abuse I heard him getting Saturday through the stream was was out of order.

Aye he did seem to be getting a bit of a hard time and seemed to be reacting to it however deleting posts on instagram is pretty weird behaviour particularly when there is a section of the fan base that love him.

I didn’t get the abuse, Morton cut off all supply to him, he basically jogged from side to side the whole second half escorted by 2 Morton players. there was no support and most of the balls were played near him rather than at him.

I can see why he would be frustrated, there was nothing done to change and give him support or allow him to create space.

This child knows sweary words. I have a feeling he'll tell you where to go.

Sweary words?

In Troon?

Surely not.

.........And your response should of course be............"He f****ng does, and don't call me Shirley".

Good luck tomorrow and hopefully there will be four Ayrshire clubs in the next round.

Originally from Ayr, took me a while to retract my speech from the casual tirade of four lettered words to fit in with the upper class here in Troon 😂

Honestly though, I think every sweary that boy has learned is off that Fortnite rubbish. Costs me an arm and a leg too 😒

I'm just reflecting here on how the Scottish Cup matches seem to have gone from one of the best, most important and most looked forward to matches of the season to now seemingly being seen as a distraction and a game where you can rest / experiment with players etc.

It's the only fourth round, and it's only St Mirren. It's also now over a decade since the league cup quarter-final, which was also the last time Ayr beat them.

Things would probably be more optimistic if the new manager bounce had been sustained for more than one fucking game.

That's a bit strange. He used to have Ayr related posts up on that account. Did have a quick look over at Ayr's instagram and as of writing this post Tomi was still following Ayr United's account.

I  watched the last stream against Morton and I'd concur with previously raised points about the excessive criticism from the stream commentators directed towards him.

Tomi didn't have the best game, but then neither did the entire rest of the team that match. Tomi got his workrate criticsied fequently in that last stream but I heard very little from the commentators about the fact that Chalmers couldn't get a cross by a single Morton player the entire game, or that Maxwell had by his usual standards a disappointing performance.

It's also daft in my view to fault a striker that struggles to get into a game, when after Morton scored their first goal he gets nothing but aimless punts, an extremely concerning throwback to the worst of Hoppyball.

I hope he stays at Ayr as I feel that signing a proper forward player to provide support up front would transform our attacking threat. If it so happens that he did leave, I'd have some questions to ask of the stream commentary team as to why with Ayr's known midfield and defensive weaknesses it's the lone striker who should get regularly faulted for his performances.

Exactly.  I've not watched all the streams of course but certainly don't remember specific constant discussions (including half time) about for example McGinty or Baird being out of position for crosses coming in, or specific midfielders not winning all their headers / tackles / giving ball away.  It 100% seems targeted and actually annoys me quite a bit how they are going about it as the comments from the Commentary folk are basically speaking on behalf of the club publicly.

Exactly they are not fans sitting in a pub or in the stands with there mate, constructive criticism 100% but they did a job on Tomi and now there is certainly a narrative with a group of fans that's he's lazy and not good enough, the bloke has already scored 6 more than our top scorer last season.

Adam Montgomery, Celtic full back to follow. Can’t keep up.

I hope it all works out for you because if it doesn't you might be heading the same way as your Sevco pals up the A77.........

Doubt it, we don’t have a penny of external debt. All being financed by the Directors. Sorry to disappoint you, but there’s no comparison. It also helps if you have 4000 core fans instead of 1000.

If we lost Adeloye, you could be pretty confident that we would be relegated. Not something that would come across when he is discussed during commentaries etc.

Agree fully with this. Be struggling to see where Ayr would get goals from if he left. Bryden and McKenzie have potential but need more time to mature and develop as they are both young lads. Moffat is an absolute diamond for his contributions to the club (was a sad day for me when he went to Dunfermline) but he isn't getting any younger. The midfield is clearly, on their current form this season not offering any real goal threat.
