They would be left with maybe 5 of that squad and need a major rebuild. Would Wright stay? Would they want him to ?
I think the Championship could be wide open next year

I believe his contract was based on them staying up and he had a release clause if they went down

Having to cut their cloth accordingly along with a lot of the older players, like Doyle, Dicker, Power, Broadfoot and Burke all being the wrong side of 30. Hopefully gives us both 4 huge games to look forward to next season.

The next 45 minutes could give our own transfer / player budget a nice top up as well.

I may have missed this but where was it said they wouldn’t sell us any more land?

I thought from previous comments that the yard was now owned by Kirkwood and a planning  application was submitted for there and the car park.

I thought that with the sale of the car park, they would be looking to offload the yard as well now.

Kirkwood owns the railway yard? are you sure about that?

I thought it was EWS (edit: Now called DB Schenker Rail), who incidentally haven't used it in years either...did we not try to buy the part directly behind the railway enclosure when Love Street got demolished and we were apparently going to get one of the stands?

Or do you mean he owns Walkers yard? Which right now has a lot of businesses on it who will be paying him rent way far in excess of what the land would be worth to sell, at least one would think. Plus there's also that little cottage next to the gate, must be worth a small fortune too?

I don’t know who owns the yard but it was part of the proposed development with the car park and Kirkwood owned that.
